On silmiinpistävä tosiasia, jonka geneetikot ovat toistuvasti maininneet, että evolutiiviset muutokset ilmenevät pikemminkin tuhansien, kymmenien tuhansien tai satojenkin tuhansien vuosien kuin muutaman vuosikymmenen kuluessa, että "laboratorioita" eli erilaisia ekologisia ympäristöjä ja eliöpopulaatioita maapallollamme on lukematon määrä. Yhtä silmiinpoistävää on, että Pyhiin Kirjoituksiinsa nojautuvat kreationistit harvoin ottavat tämän silmiinpistävän tosiasian huomioon.
