Where are all the lesbians in Helsinki?

Add a profile to Qruiser.com, and try from there? There is not one place "older" lesbians hang out. SETA organizes parties for older girls "Mummolaakso". Naistenbileet is one way to go too. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong - I do not go to those parties myself.

I think Mannstreet is a good choice, so try again if you were the only one there. You are right, Nalle pub is nowadays just like any other crappy neighbourhood bar. It used to a lesbian bar, but is not that any longer.

But my guess is that Mann's Street is more for older guys and faghag girls - this just a personal observation.
Nalle is a lost cause already. Too many drunks and not that many gays.

I went to Mummolaakso pikkujoulu. Arrived at nine, left after ten. Must have been the youngest one. Ok, I'm not into old dances.
You'll find your place, I'm sure. I have given up on bars. I'm looking for people on the net. But that's just my way.

Most of my friends are although over 40... but we ALL have the same problem!!!

I just go out, when my friends are going out and I am assuming most of lesbians do the same -- quite few like to go bar hopping by themselves, so some time the places might be crowded also with 35 lesbians, but most of the evenings not. YOu should go there more often - one night might not give you good enough picture.

I've been going out mostly by myself as well, as I'm quite new to the scene here, and would love to get to know gay women of my own age (40ish). In the bars the people you see are really quite young, so I've also taken the internet as a way to find people of my kind.
