Or in Finnish "resurssienhallinta on pysähtynyt..."
This message came all of a sudde after booting and continued every 10 secs. No way to do anything sensible. Booting in safe mode helped nothing. The laptop has a second user account and I booted to this and there was no fault messages.
Tried to follow Microsoft proposed 'clean booting' strategy with no avail. In the end I created a new user account for the regular user and that, too worked fine. Inteded to remove the troublemaking original user account later. Of course a new user needs a lot of work to install the user dependent features.
Being stubborn by nature I revisited the problem and began to look into the Desktop of the offending account working from another user account checking with the windows explorer properties of the item on the concerned Desktop folder. Then came to one link item that coused the very same fault in the explorer.
There was no way to remove the item as this sould require the now stopped explorer!! Apparently the link was somehow broken.
Well what now? Booted in safe mode (use f8) to command prompt. Using cmd commands navigated to the offending destop folder and deleted the broken item.
