2001 - Sept 7 (BBC) - It is a strange coalition of the left and right that has put Sudan so high on the agenda of American domestic politics. This is an issue that is really important. It is important to this administration, it is important to the world to bring some sanity to the Sudan -
Ms. McDonal: "Sudan is the worst human rights violator of religious freedom today, with over two million people killed in the last 18 years" - She believes the government in the north, "is trying to enforce the Islamisation and Arabisation of all the people". "It's trying to wipe out the black, Christian, and Muslim
populations that don't agree with their plan.
