22 Dec 2004 - Planned Outage: Launch of World Member
It is the season of giving and WGI management's gift to members today marks the start of the most exciting phase in the company's history.
The much anticipated World Member membership level will be launched today and is an important step for WGI. For new members it means they can join, play the games and enjoy the RMR for free with no obligation to upgrade! For continuing member it means a simpler, more rewarding system.
"Armed with a more compliant and understandable system we are now poised to open new markets, reward our longstanding faithful membership and take the world by storm," said the WGI President, Greg Young.
Also members at all levels no longer need to buy Sweepstakes8 tickets to receive Product RMR, MIF contributions are a thing of the past, Standard Members benefit from more sponsorship rewards, max-out rules are now easier to achieve and the first of many new pay-in methods is operational.
If that's not enough then in addition to giving away two "Smart cars" in the casino, an exciting new poker tournament will begin on 27 December 2004 just days before the introduction of RMR on the Sports Betting!!
The WGI site is temporarily unavailable while these changes are being implemented. The outage time is scheduled from 0300GMT on Thursday 23 December for approximately 1 hour.
This outage only affects the Members Lounge. If you are playing in the Casino or SMG prior to the outage you will not be affected, and you can continue to play. However, if you go back to the Members Lounge during the outage you will receive an error message when you select any option and you will be unable to access the WGI website until the outage is over.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
