I\'ve tried them all over the years living in
Minnesota for the last 41 years, and I recommend
the Hakkapeliitta NRW. They work wonderfully on
ice and snow. Unlike the tires you are talking
about, they are the same rubber compound
throughout the tire, but because of the tread
design and siping they work great. They are an H
rated tire, and listed at an \"all season.\" They
are made in Finland and are very popular there. I
have them on my Audi quattro, and leave them on
year around, as they wear well and are quiet (I
doubt that you can say that for the others you
are talking about), and I also run them on my 528
for the winter. There is always a advertisement
in the back of European Car magazine and are sold
by Greer Enterprises in Milwaukee, 1800-325-2598.
Good luck,
steiny
