HONDA ISSUES RECALL FOR MORE THAN 113,000

Tokyo, Apr 11 (EFE).- Japanese automotive giant
Honda on Wednesday issued a recall for more than
113,000 cars and light trucks that have an engine
defect that can cause fires.
Honda will repair some 88,600 defective vehicles
sold in Japan and will comply with local
regulations in recalling 20,900 automobiles sold
in Europe and 4,100 sold in Germany.
According to Honda, the defect affects five
models, including the popular Integra and Civic
models.
The company also said the repairs involved in the
recall will cost about 750 million yen ($6
million).
The affected models were built between June 1993
and December 1995, and a Honda spokesman said no
accidents related to the defect have been
reported.
Honda announced the recall after its stock jumped
4.2 percent Wednesday due to the improved outlook
for Japanese exporters owing to a weaker yen. EFE

Rehellistä tiedottamista, mitäs tuosta? Kyllä
myös tekniikan ylivoimaisissa edelläkävijöissä
voi olla joskus vikaa.
Hyvä vain kuin ilmoittavat, ja varsinkin noin
vanhoihin autoihin. Ei tule montaa tehdasta,
varsinkaan lähiseuduilta mieleen, mikä virheensä
myöntäisi, saatikka korjaisi, jos vikaa ilmenee
takuuajan ulkopuolella.

käännetään se "torjunta" voitoksi!
Mahtava automerkki, mikäs sille voi, tottakai
sitä voisi parempaan vaihtaa, mutta minkäs teet,
kun ei euroopasta löydy alle 250tmk parempia
kulkupelejä, kuten ei myöskään japanista.
Tuliko Hondalle turpaan kun tiedottivat
rehellisesti asioiden kulusta ja ottivat vastuun
monta vuotta vanhoista asioista??? Kysynpähän
vain mikä eurooppalainen "automerkki" tekisi
saman? Ainakin Volvo ja Opel välttelevät vastuuta
virheistään ja huijauksistaan minkä ehtivät.

tarkastukseen Hondan piikkiin.Ajatelkaahan,
kuinka moni muu merkki olisi todella moisesta
välittänyt, vai olikohan kyseessä jo tarkastus
edellä mainittuun englantilaisartikkeliin?

En muuten tarkoittanut tätä v..ksi, vaan
kiinnosti tietää kutsuuko kotimainen maahantuoja
autoja myös huoltoon, kuten ulkomaiset.
