TOKYO, Sep 13, 2001 (Kyodo via COMTEX) -- Honda
Motor Co. and Audi Japan K.K. informed the
transport ministry on Thursday that they are
recalling 36,885 cars due to defective fuel hoses
or ignitions.
Honda said it is recalling 20,782 units of
minicar Life Dunc manufactured between February
and August. Some of the fire hoses used in the
model are fragile and could cause a fire.
Audi Japan K.K. said it is recalling four
models of passenger car Audi A4, accounting for
16,103 units imported between October 1995 and
November 1997. The company cited fragile
ignitions, which could cause problems in
electrical systems connected to lamps and
windshield wipers, as the reason for the recall.
