O.W. Kuusinen was born in Laukaa, in the middle of Finland. When he died 1964 in Moscow, he had a higher international position than any Finn before or after him. OWK had to escape from Finland in 1918. Before that he was a parlamentarist, chairman of socialdemocrat party (SDP) and senator in Finland. After the war Kuusinen was a secretary on central committee of SU Communist Party. His grave is in the wall of Kreml.
O.W. Kuusinen is still waiting for his rehabilitation in Finland. Even his name is wiped out from the list of chairmen of his party socialdemocrats (SDP). Discussion about his rehabilitation has flamed among the members of Finnish socialdemocratic party. The rehabilitation of OWK seems to be now bossible, and probably the bones of OWK will be brought back to his native country.
