Greettings. Two days ago I picked up my 2001 540i
6-Speed. Titanium Silver on black. This thing is
awesome. I used to drive a 1997 M3 (too harsh on
Boston roads), and then a 2001 330cic (nice, but
not thrilling). The 5er is the best damn car I
have ever driven. It moves! It's luxurious! It's
lean and mean. Shadowline trim saves the
exterior. BMW have even (at last) smoothed out
the clutch action on this model. Mercedes may be
able to design cars that accelerate faster, but
they have no idea how to make a car like this.
It's so powerful and smooth and doesn't drive
like a bank vault. I hope I will be buried with
this horse. Okay, that's enough.
