Iranin ulkoministeriön puhemies Hamid-Reza Asefi kertoi lehtimiehille viikottaisen lehdistökonferenssinsa aikana “mielestäni olisi hyvä jos Blair osallistuisi Holocaustia käsittelevään seminaariin Teheranissa. Blair voisi luonnollisesti esittää holocaustia tukevan esityksen, mutta samalla hän kuulisi sellaisia näkökulmia tähän asiaan joita hän ei kotimaassaan voi kuulla".

Lopullisessa ratkaisussa vuonna 1974 taiteilija teoksen tekijänä ja näyttelyjury teoksen esille asettajana saivat sakkorangaistukset. Tasavallan Presidentiltä anottu armahdus ei tuonut muutosta tuomioon.
