Blue1 the third best airline in Europe
ERA - the European Regions Airline Association - awarded Blue1 "Bronze Award Airline of the Year 2006/2007". The prize was given to Blue1 in association with the ERA General Assembly in Barcelona.

The European Regions Airline Association (ERA) is the European association that integrates the largest number of members in the aeronautical sector.
It incorporates 66 airlines, 20 aircraft and aeronautical component manufacturers, 45 airports and over 100 other institutions. Its combined fleet has a total of 1,100 aircraft, and carries more than 70 millions passengers per year.
The ERA Airline of the Year Award is the most recognized airline award for this sector of the industry. The Award comprises three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The aim of the award is to recognize the best overall achievement over
twelve months by an ERA member airline. Judging is based on a wide range of criteria that are deliberately set to take into account all types of airline
operation, whether it be scheduled passenger, cargo, charter or leasing and
regardless of size. A panel of specialist aviation journalists from several
different European countries, ensuring that an unbiased and independent decision is reached, decides the winner.
The Airline of the Year Judging Panel acclaimed Blue1 with the following
statements:

· Northern Europe is one of the toughest markets for any airline. Blue1 has
thanks to strategic flexibility, a high-quality product and the unrivalled
determination of its management, managed to establish itself as a solid number two in the Finnish market, which has been since years dominated by a national airline.
· An impressive 28% passenger growth with zero capacity increase
· Blue1 is one of the few regional airlines that have gained access to a big
alliance (Star Alliance).
