THE German government buried a report from its spymasters and health experts that Saddam Hussein has enough smallpox virus to kill up to 25million people.
The stockpile would be the clearest material breach of UN resolution 1441.
But instead of warning the public or sharing the information with other EU partners the government decided to take no action, it was revealed.
The report was produced by domestic spy agency BND — one of Europe’s most efficient.
Liberal party leader Guido Westerwelle said: “I am lost for words that the Government wouldn’t warn its people of the threat of weapons of mass destruction from Iraq.”
