"The conclusions of the so-called "new historians" of Islam are devastating: that we know almost nothing about the life of the Muslim prophet Mohammad; that the rapid rise of the religion can be attributed, at least in part, to the attraction of Islam's message of conquest and jihad for the tribes of the Arabian peninsula; that the Koran as we know it today was compiled, or perhaps even written, long after Mohammad's supposed death in 632AD."
"It doesn't make much sence that while humandkind has existed for atleast 250,000 years, somekind of 'god' has expressed himself only less than 10,000 years ago. If Allah was here all the time, than howcome there is absolutely no sign of him, no religion related to him or anything before past few thousand years? People believed in sun-gods, the god of moon and number of other 'gods'.
Both Bible and Quran are clearly products of their own time. Just like when some book/movie was written in say 1950-1980, the enemy was always a "commie" from Russia. Today it is always some terrorist from middle-east. These books talk about the fears and thoughts of people (how they see the world) when the book/movie was made.
The same way Bible and Quran are - like I said - "products" of their time (resemble surrounding culture and so on) instead of being timeless, factually correct, "godly" books with knowledge beyond what humans could have known/written."
Miksi voi miksi aikuisten ihmisten pitää uskoa kaiken maailman toista tuhatta vuosia vanhoihin satuihin :(
