Olen yrittänyt asentaa HP:n 7760 tulostimen, uuteen koneeseen jossa tuli käyttiksenä vista...yllätys yllätys ei onnistu, vanha asennuslevyke ei tue kuin 2000 asti ja netistä latasin ajurin niin se on .exe muotoa ja vistan lisää tulostin toiminnon kautta pitäisi olla .inf muotoa. Onko tuo .exe pelkkä pikakuvake vai mikä mättää???

Step two: Install the driver
Verify that the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable is not connected to the printer.
Click the Start ( ) icon, click Control Panel , click Hardware & Sounds , and then click Printers .
Click Add a printer .
Click Add a local printer .
Select the Use an existing port check box.
In the Use an existing port drop-down list, select LPT1: (Printer Port) and then click Next .
Under Manufacturer on the Install the printer driver dialog box, select HP .
Under Printers , select the appropriate alternate driver for the printer and then click Next .
In the Printer name text box, type the printer name and then click Next . The printer driver starts to install. NOTE: The name of the alternate driver displays as the default name. Change this name to the name of your printer, if desired.
After the screen stating that the printer was successfully added displays, connect the USB cable to the printer and to the computer.
On the Found New Hardware screen, click Cancel . NOTE: If multiple pop-up windows display, click Cancel on each window.
**Step three: Configure the driver
In the printer folder, right-click on the name of the printer and then click Properties .
Click the Ports tab.
Change the port from LPT1 to USB or DOT4 , as indicated in the table below. Product USB port DOT 4 port

Tämä on just se ajuri jonka, hp:n sivuilta latasin ja on .exe muotoa... ei toimi. Mutta ei haukuta vistaa enempää, suljin koneen ja käynnistin muutaman tunnin päästä uudestaan niin käynnistyminen kesti varmaan 10 minsaa ja windows haki jotain päivityksiä ei näyttänyt mitä, mutta sitten kun käynnistyi niin ruutuun tuli teksti uusi laite löydetty (hp tulostin) ja valikko josta löytyi myös tämä 7760-tulostin ja kyllä nyt toimii. Toisaalta aika ihmeellistä toimintaa vai normaalia vistaa???

Ei myöskään "Lisää tulostimia" kautta.
Sieltäkin onnistuu varmaan kun purkaa ensin exe tiedoston sisällön ja kaivaa sieltä inf ja muut tiedostot. Vistan tukisivuilla on ohjeita tuohon.

Installation Instructions
1.Click the Download only button.
Note: Make sure the printer is "Not" connected to the computer before running the download file.
2.Click the Run button to begin the download.
Note: File is compressed and may take time to expand and run.
3.Follow the on-screen software installation instructions.
4.Click Finish.
5.Click This program installed correctly.
6.Connect the USB cable between the printer and the computer, then turn on the printer.
7.You may see messaging lower right corner of the screen indicating your product is being installed.
8.Your product should be ready to print.
Ongelmia tulee monesti (mutkia matkaan), kun tokätään ensin johto ja sitten aletaan asentamaan ajureita.
Minullekin on käynyt siten Windows XP:ssä.
Joissakin printtereissa usb-liitin on teipattu kiinni tarralla, jossa lukee "Ota teippi pois vasta, kun asennusohjelma kehoittaa tekemään niin"
Sulla on varmasti uudempi tulostin mitä mulla, se mun siis on HP psc 750 ja se asentui ilman asentamista Vistaan. Kytkin piuhan vaan USB porttiin ja se oli siinä. Trkistin vielä että se näkyi ohjauspaneelissa ja niin teki.
onko 7700sarjan tulostimissa sama ajuri kuin 7600 sarjassa
