It will be quite an experience for the Sporting players to pay a visit to the Reebok Stadium for a meeting with a representative of some old English football. Imo we should no longer speak about Bolton not interesting in Uefa cup any more. If Bolton wanted to concentrate only in premier leaque they should manage to eliminate from the group stage -and for sure- they at least wouldn't pass Athletico Madrid. In the majority of Bolton 's Uefa games odds for Bolton were rising just becouse they made many changes in theis squad ( which was still better than many other squads) and punters took this as a fact that Bolton was not interested in the Uefa cup. At the end, they manage not to loose in Madrid, Munchen and Braga, and they beat Athletico and Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade. Really impressive for a team that is not interested very much for Uefa cup.


agree, even with rotation, Bolton still has a squad that would out-class many teams in Europe ... and Sporting themselves have a big game on the weekend, if they lose to Vitoria in Guimaraes (currently 3rd in Bwin Liga), they might have a hard time making the CL for next season which would be a disaster

and considering this is the first leg, value must be on Bolton DNB

whoever Megson puts on the field i think will be even more motivated then a relegation fighting league match, if the teams goes down the players can always jump ship to another club, but playing for European glory is an once in a life time opportunity for most guys

They have been poor in away matches this year, only win 2 times in this condicion for Portuguese league.

Best forward Liedson don´t play this match and the squad as several physical problems.
