Another bet on Bolivia who thrashed Peru 3-0 on Saturday and saved their dreams to qualify for WC. Of course, it is practically mission impossible, but Bolivians will try to win remaining home games and steal couple of points away from home. After bad start of this qualifying campaign, Bolivia are finding good form and are improving with every game. Bolivia's last two home games were comfortable wins against Peru and Paraguay and they managed 0-0 draw in Brazil. In last 4 games, their only defeat was in Ecuador.
Uruguay are of course superior to Bolivia (won 5-0 at home in Round 1 of these qualifiers, didn't even concede a single goal in all 7 games between these teams since 1997), but they will play this game only 3 days after tough game in Argentina and will have even bigger problems at 3,600 meters above sea level in La Paz. Uruguayans not only lost in Argentina, but also lost 5 players for this game, as central defender Diego God?n, midfielders Sebasti??n Eguren and Diego P?©rez, as well as striker Luis Su??rez are suspended after another yellow cards on Saturday, while striker Javier Chevant??n picked up injury. Diego Forl??n is also injured.
Uruguay managed to draw 0-0 in La Paz in last two games, but really struggled and had amazing luck and I don't think they will manage to avoid defeat in 3rd straight game. In history, these teams played 8 games in La Paz, with 5-3-0 record and 9-3 goal-difference. Another similar game is expected, Bolivia will attack, Uruguay will try to survive with solid defending, and I just hope Bolivia will be more effective than in previous games against Uruguay in La Paz.
