The quality of the forum reflects the quality of the people that frequent it.
If I thought comments on discussion forums gave an accurate depiction of the average person, I would have nothing but loathing for the human race.
Premise: 99% of people are not dimwitted, abusive assholes.
Fact: 99% of the material on discussion forums is from dimwitted, abusive assholes.
Conclusion: Discussion forums attract the worst elements of society and should, at all costs, be avoided by the intelligent and those that value their mental health and spiritual integrity.
I whole-heartedly believe children below the age of 20 should be denied access to these depositories of hate and stupidity. Think of the distorted worldviews the weak-minded and gullible develop upon witnessing the absolutely despicable conduct of so-called adults on discussion forums everywhere.
Let us leave this place and never come back.
