windows me + suojausvirhe

syytä tosin en tiedä... ilmeisesti kyseessä ei
ole mitään erityisen vakavaa... koska muuten
järjestelmä toimii hyvin, samoin sammutuskin
toimii joskus hyvin... kokoonpanoni on 400mhz amd
k6-2, 160mt muistia, gf2 mx, hp 9150i polttava...
kuten sanoinkin, ME toimii loistavasti (tuota
mielenkiintoista sammutus seikkaa lukuunottamatta)

toisaalta koneeni on 24h päällä, joten se
häiritsee korkeintaan hardware räpeltämisen
aikoihin...

Voipi olla vika raudan ajureissa... Vaihda
kertaalleen kaikki mahdolliset ajurit uusiin.
Mulla jotkut GF1:n ajurit vaatii
koneen "manuaalisen" sammutuksen...ajurit on
tiätty ne kaikkein nopeimmat!
Ja eihän sulla ole ylikellotuksia, niistä
monesti -riittämättömän jäähdytyksen johdosta-
seuraa suojausvirheitä.
Ja vielä tarkista, että muistin BIOS-asetukset
eivät ole liian "kireällä"
Ja vielä tarkista, että muistipalikat ovat
kunnolla kiinni emolla,

Itsellä virheiden ilmenemisvälit vähenivät, kun
vaihdoin näytönohjaimen ajurit uusimmista
näytönohjaimen mukana tulleelta cd:ltä löytyviin
ajureihin. Ennen vaihtamista suojausvirhe
tapahtui lähes joka sammutuskerta, nyt vain n.
joka 20:s kerta.
Niin, ja kannattaa ajaa Norton System Works
2001:n WinDoctor vähän väliä.

SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade to Microsoft Windows Millennium
Edition (Me) on a computer that has CeQuadrat
Packet Writer Software installed, you receive the
following error message:

Windows Protection Error. System Halted



CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you have old drivers for
the CeQuadrat Packet Writer Software installed on
your computer.



RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, obtain and install the
updated drivers from the software manufacturer,
following these steps:

Start your computer and go to an MS-DOS prompt.


Rename the following file in the
Windows\System\IOSubsys directory:


C2udffs.vxd
Restart the computer.


From the following location, obtain and install
the updated drivers Service Pack PacketCD Win9.x
version 3.00.209 Pcd209up.exe file, which
includes the updated C2udffs.vxd:
