I purchased the finnish apartment as holiday home because I love finnish culture and landscapes. I live and work in London, UK - to be more exact I am part of the 4th Regiment Royal Artillery (UK Army) and in May my unit has been deployed to Afghanistan for the next year, therefore I can't use my apartment from Finland for at least 1 year (if you are planning to rent for more then 1 year, there is no problem we can renew the contract for as long as you need).
I am in military base right now (in north of Afghanistan) and I am only allowed to verify my email, I can't receive calls or text messages, I hope you understand.
Being in the army has some advantages, I received free insurance (Home, Life, Car) so if you are interested to rent my insurance company will take care of everything (rent contract, paperwork). I chosen an multinational insurance service (insurance services provided by TNT). They have an escrow service called RDP (rent deposit protection). Using this company you will have a 10 days period when you can inspect the apartment and then decide if you want to rent it or not (just like you are renting from someone local). It seems to be the best option considering our situation.
The rent for 1 month is 1250 €.

Toisen sähköpostiin vastataan seuraavaa:
A - You accept to rent the apartment (1250 €/ Month everything included) and send me your full name , birth-day date, address where you want the keys and contract to be sent to.
- I forward all the information to TNT Insurance and they approve the transaction and contact you with the confirmation. A bank account is assigned to our transaction.
B - You deposit 2500 € (first month 1250 € refundable deposit that you will receive back at the end of the contract) to the assigned bank account, and TNT insurance will lock the payment on your behalf (only you can unlock the payment). Upon payment confirmation the shipping of the keys/contract is started. By paying you are not committing to anything, you are just respecting a policy of an abroad rental company. The money that you pay are 100% refundable, no questions will be asked.
C - In 2 days after the payment has been received and locked you receive the keys and then inspect the apartment for 10 days. At the end of the 10 days you decide if you want to rent it or not. If you want it, you sign the contract and fax it to TNT Insurance representative. If you don't want to rent it, you return the keys and you receive your money back in 48 hours. No questions will be asked, you will not be charged for the return of the keys.
