JT:t muistavat mainostaa tällä palstalla silloin tällöin heidän työpanoksestaan verettömien hoitomuotojen tutkimisessa. Kertokaa minulle miten ja missä verettömien hoitomuotojen tutkintaa on autettu Jehovan todistajien toimesta. Paljonko lääketieteellisille tutkimuslaitoksille on lahjoitettu tutkimusrahaa?
En usko saavani vastausta, mutta kokeilen nyt kuitenkin kepillä jäätä.

Jehovantodistajien mielestä lehmänverestä valmistettu "keinoveri" Polyheme on "veretöntä hoitoa".
Leinonen on "demonnut" ko. esityksen joissakin seurakunnnissa Suomessa.
Lisäksi on videoita jne.
Lääkäripiireissä tiedetään yleisesti, että JT:t tekevät paljon työtä tällä alalla. Suuria summia rahaa todistajilla ei ole, mutta he auttavat minkä pystyvät.
Tässä yksi esimerkki:
Life-saving machine donated
>
> Jehovah's Witnesses, the religious sect that doesn't allow its members to
> receive blood transfusions, have donated a new machine to Wrexham Maelor
> Hospital that will allow patients' own blood to be collected, cleaned and
> returned to them in a closed system.
> The innovative £27,000 'cell-saver' machine's use during surgery will
avoid
> the need for transfusions.
>
> The process is acceptable to most Jehovah's Witnesses whose faith does not
> permit the reuse of blood once it has been shed, making conventional blood
> transfusions unacceptable.
>
> But the machine will benefit the community generally and the hospital,
that
> treats people from Oswestry and north Shropshire as well as the border
area,
> has already started to introduce this technology for a range of patients,
> said a spokesman today.
>
> Consultant anaesthetist Dr David Southern said: "We have been using blood
> salvage techniques for a number of years for certain types of surgery and
by
> reusing a patient's own blood we can eliminate the possibility of exposure
> to foreign proteins and pathogens.
>
> "We also reduce the demand on stocks of donated blood which can save the
> hospital money.
>
> "This machine will allow us to increase the number of patients that we can
> offer this option to, as well as ensuring we can offer the highest
possible
> standards of surgical care to Jehovah's Witnesses and others unable or
> unwilling to accept donated blood."
