Tässä joitain mielenkiintoisia ajatuksia ja hienoa lausahduksia useiden ihmisten (varsinkin kristittyjen) kammoamasta kauhiasta... rock-musiikista. :D
"You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill."
Rush - Freewill
"My pain is God's love."
Bad Religion - God's Love
"Are you a man of peace
Or man of holy war
Too many sides to you
Don't know which any more
So many full of life
But also filled with pain"
Iron Maiden - For the Greater Good of God
"Whatever God, you know
He knows you, better than you believe
In your once and future grave
You'll fall endlessly deceived"
Iron Maiden - Starblind
"They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of Kings and Queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
It's Heaven and Hell, oh well
And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
It's Heaven and Hell"
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
"I don't believe you:
you had the whole damn thing all wrong --
He's not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays."
Jethro Tull - Wind Up
"People -- what have you done --
locked Him in His golden cage.
Made Him bend to your religion --
Him resurrected from the grave."
Jethro Tull - My God
"Brother will kill brother
Spilling blood across the land
Killing for religion
Something I don't understand"
Megadeth - Holy Wars
"Ceremonies have killed religions for they provide
The masked comforts to delusionals, they're all in fright
The true believer's head was bathed in sunlight
While you are walking all detached"
System of a Down - Tentative
"Penance won't absolve your sin"
Disturbed - Believe
"So you think you can tell,
heaven from hell?"
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
"Ignorance and prejudice,
and fear walk hand in hand."
Rush - Witch Hunt
