Of the billions in profits the world's largest banks haul in each year... only 4.5% is paid out to investors in the form of dividends, reports The Financial Times.
That's down from nearly 15% in 2006. The cause?
Banks pay out more on staff costs relative to profits now than they did in 2008 -- meaning bankers are receiving more and more inflated bonuses... while shareholders get less and less.

What's worse, just last week the International Monetary Fund reported the banking system isn't safer today than it was before the financial crisis.
