Windows Media Player ei enää aukea kuvaketta klikkaamalla Windows / (64-bit) Ultimatessa, vaan tulee seuraavanlainen virheilmoitus:

Sama ilmoitus muuten Windows Essentials Finnish 2012 paketin Valokuvakokoelman ja Windows Movie Makerin kanssa, kun koitan käynnistää ne.
C:\WINDOWS\System32 kansiosta löytyy ainakin yksi mfplat.dll

Saako tuon jotenkin korjattua?

No löysin vihdoin netistä ohjeen jonka kautta tuon sai korjattua niin että Windows Media Player toimii taas ja muut Windows Essentials Finnish 2012 paketin ohjelmat mm. Windows Media Maker ja Valokuvakokoelma.
Tässä ohje myös muille, jotka tulevaisuudessa tästä ongelmasta kärsivät:

"MFPlat.DLL is not related to the lame encoder at all...and I do not know how you're getting that error or to why. I can find of it's existance and I've seen a few things saying it's tied to WMP12 and DRM management, but no one mentions WHAT it does.
In Windows 7 the best way to do this is with the built in systemfilecheck utility. Go to Start -> all Programs > Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Click Yes when UAC pops up. Once you're at the prompt, enter the following.
sfc /scannow
the system will run a scan and should fix any files that are corrupt/missing.
Alternatively, there are repair installs you can do on the Windows 7 CD. DO NOT for ANY reason download this file from a DLL download website. The majority of these contain virues/malware or will not work under Windows 7."
Eli klikkaa: Käynnistä-valikko -> Kaikki ohjelmat -> Apuohjelmat -> Komentokehote (jonka avaat hiiren kakkosen takaa löytyvällä "Suorita järjestelmänvalvojana" valinnalla).
C:\Windows\System32> perään kirjoitat:
sfc /scannow
..ja Enter
Järjestelmä ilmoittaa seuraavaa:
"Järjestelmän tarkistusta aloitetaan. Tämä kestää jonkin aikaa.
Aloitetaan järjestelmän tarkistuksen varmistusvaihe.
Varmistus 100% tehty.
Windowsin resurssien suojaus löysi viallisia tiedostoja ja korjasi ne.
Lisätietoja on CBS.Log-tiedostossa windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

Eli järjestelmä ajaa skannauksen ja korjaa kaikki Windowsin järjestelmätiedostot jotka ovat korruptoituneet tai kadonneet.
