Are these leaders really this naive, why would any of these migrants stop pursuing their dream of Europe just because the mid way camp may have better conditions? If anything, it is creating a safe haven for those who have not yet made the final decision of leaving their home countries. Now the conditions on the way may be improving thus making the waiting time in the midst of Europe more tolerable.
Implementing this deal is not stopping the migrants in wait for their transport to Europe but will also add the influx of Turkish in to Europe unless the visa rules are specifically restricting economic migration. I am afraid that this will be impossible to confine, let alone control.
Let Merkel and Germany keep the migrants in hope that housing them will finally ease their bad conscience.
