The Russian Air Force played a critical role in the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) advance on Sunday, as they destroyed several jihadist sites in order to clear a path for the government forces at the Bani Zaid District of Aleppo City. A security source in Aleppo City told Al-Masdar News on Sunday that the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division captured the Barhou Al-Saleh School inside the Bani Zaid District after a violent battle with the jihadist rebels of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki. The school was used by the jihadist rebels as a command-and-control center before it was captured by the Syrian Armed Forces on Sunday morning.

Venäjän puollustusministeriö kertoi lauantaina Daesn -terroristien ampuneen alas venäläisen helikopterin,jonka lentäjät Ryafagat Khabibulin ja Yevgeny Dolgin
saivat surmansa.
The Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday that Daesh terrorists shot down a helicopter near Syria's Palmyra, killing two Russian military instructor pilots.
On July 8, Russian military instructor pilots conducted a test flight of a Syrian Mi-25 helicopter (export version of the Mi-24 helicopter), when it received a request from the Syrian authorities to carry out airstrikes against a large group of Daesh terrorists advancing to the east of Palmyra, the ministry said.
The Russian crew of the helicopter repelled the attack of a large Daesh group of fighters on the Syrian government forces.
"The crew received a request from the Syrian unit's command to strike the advancing fighters. The captain, Ryafagat Khabibulin, made a decision to attack the terrorists. The skillful actions of the Russian crew thwarted the terrorists' advance. When the helicopter's ammunition was spent and it changed its course to the opposite direction, it was shot down by terrorists from the ground and crashed in an area controlled by the Syrian government army. The helicopter's crew was killed."
The killed Russian pilots, Ryafagat Khabibulin and Yevgeny Dolgin, will be posthumously awarded, the ministry said.

Former #CIA contractor, Steven D. Kelley, says that the ISIL terrorist group is a completely fabricated enemy created and funded by the United States.
“This is a completely fabricated enemy,” he said in a phone interview with Press TV from Anaheim.
“The funding is completely from the United States and its allies and for people to think that this enemy is something that needs to be attacked in #Syria or Iraq is a farce because obviously this is something that we create it, we control and only now it has become inconvenient for us to attack this group as a legitimate enemy,” Kelley added.
He made the remarks as US President Barack Obama is under pressure to seek congressional approval before expanding Washington’s military air campaign against ISIL targets from Iraq into neighboring Syria.
The Pentagon has already launched at least 100 airstrikes on ISIL positions in northern Iraq since Obama authorized the use of force against the terrorist group earlier this month.
The White House insists it does not need explicit congressional authorization for those operations because they are intended to protect American personnel and interests inside the Arab country.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday that Obama “will not hesitate to use his authority” to keep Americans safe, but added that the president was “committed to coordinating and consulting with Congress” on a decision to hit ISIL targets in Syria.
“If you want to get to the root of the problem and remove this organization, the first thing they need to do is to remove the funding and take care of entities responsible for the creation of this group,” Kelley said.
“I believe that this ISIS group would probably go away, would be easily defeated by the armies of [Syrian President] Bashar Assad,” he said.

A unit of the army killed the majority of members of a terrorist group from ISIS who were trying to infiltrate into north-eastern side of Buthaina field in Sweida north-eastern countryside.

The Syrian Army Air Force also carried out sorties against ISIS terrorists’ dens in the eastern countryside of Homs, destroying two command centers of the terrorists.
The sorties targeted the surrounding of al-Sawame’ area, about 15 km to the east of Palmyra city in Homs Province where two ISIS command centers were destroyed.

In the eastern province of Deir Ezzor, the Air Force destroyed vehicles for ISIS, some of which were equipped with machine guns, as strikes hit gatherings of terrorists in al-Mrei’iyeh and al-Jafra, 10 km southeast of Deir Ezzor city.
More vehicles and a number of fortifications for ISIS terrorists were hit in army airstrikes in the vicinity of al-Tharda Mountain on the southern outskirts of Deir Ezzor province. Many terrorists were killed as well.
