Aleppo, SANA- A military source stressed that the Syrian Arab army is determined to eliminate the terrorist groups and prevent them from achieving their goals in Aleppo.

The source told SANA that units of the army and armed forces, in cooperation with the supporting forces, are continuing the military operations to the south of Aleppo and courageously confronting the terrorist groups and engaging in fierce battles in a number of posts into which the terrorists infiltrated in the area of the military academies.

The source added that the military operations are continuing on all axes to the south and southwest of Aleppo and that heavy losses are being inflicted upon the terrorist groups in the arms and personnel.

The source stressed that these terrorist groups haven’t been able to break the siege imposed on the terrorists in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, indicating that the mass media which is involved in shedding the Syrian’s blood is launching a wide psychological war through broadcasting tens of fabricated photos and videos to affect the morale of the citizens and mislead the public opinion and to cover the large numbers of the killed and injured terrorists in Saturday’s battles .

Meanwhile, SANA reporter in Aleppo said that large numbers of terrorists attacked the area to the south and southwest of Aleppo on Saturday evening.

Earlier, a military source said that the Syrian army air force intensified airstrikes against the supply routes of the terrorists and the axes of their movement to the southwest of Aleppo.

The source indicated that the army air force destroyed tens of terrorists’ vehicles and killed all terrorists onboard on the axes of Saraqeb, al-Zarbeh, al-Rashidin, Orum al-Kobra, Khan al-Assal and Maaret al-Nouman in the direction of Aleppo.

The military source also mentioned that the Air Force hit and destroyed reinforcement and supply convoys sent from areas in Idleb and Hama to support terrorist groups in Aleppo, destroying those convoys and killing many terrorists and injuring others.

Syrian Army Troops Pushing Terrorists back near Aleppo
Fierce clashes are going on near the northern Syrian city of Aleppo between government forces and terrorists trying to end a siege of militant-held areas, Press TV reports.
On Saturday, the Syrian army, backed by air and artillery cover, delivered a major blow to a coalition of terrorist groups after the latter launched repeated attacks on military academies to the south of Aleppo.
A military source said a large number of terrorists were killed and many others sustained injuries in the clashes.
A large number of vehicles as well as equipment belonging to the militants were also destroyed.
Meanwhile, other reports said the Syrian army had repelled an attack by terrorist groups on an army artillery base in Aleppo, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.
The army killed hundreds of terrorists from the so-called Jaish al-Fatah (or Army of Conquest) which includes Jabhat Fateh al Sham, the former al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front, Ahrar al Sham and other smaller groups, who claimed had taken the main fortress-like artillery academy in the Ramousah quarter in southwestern Aleppo.
The artillery base, which is almost two kilometers from the besieged opposition area, has a huge supply of ammunition.
Still, the army is tightening the noose on terrorists in the city as it has laid siege to most militant-held neighborhoods in Aleppo.
Militants have abandoned fighting in some areas to avoid further losses. They are also trying to keep civilians in the city to use them as human shields in a bid to slow the army’s advance.
Aleppo has been divided between government forces in the west and militants in the east since 2012.
Some 250,000 civilians live under siege in Aleppo's militant-held areas since the army cut off the last road into militant districts in early July.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011.
The United Nations (UN)’s Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimates that over 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict.

Military sources announced on sunday that the Syrian_Army has dispatched several battalions of fresh soldiers to the southern and southwestern districts of Aleppo city to reinvigorate government forces' front in the war on Jeish al-Fatah terrorist coalition.
"Syrian Army's fresh forces have arrived in Western countryside of Aleppo to join their comrades in military academies and al-Ramousiyeh," the sources said.
"As soon as arrival of Army forces in Aleppo, Jeish al-Fata launched missile attacks on residential areas in al-Hamdaniyeh and al-Ramousiyeh," the sources went on to say.
Earlier reports said that a large number of ready-to-fight combatants of the Lebanese Hezbollah have arrived in al-Hamdaniyeh district to join the Syrian government forces to beat back Jeish al-Fatah terrorist from the Southern and Southwestern countryside of Aleppo, battlefield sources said minutes ago.
"Hezbollah fighters, including Rezwan battalion, have now been deployed to al-Hamdaniyeh," sources said, adding, "There is no terrorist threat in al-Hamdaniyeh and Hezbollah fighters will be dispatched to al-Ramousiyeh to confront Jeish al-Fatah's offensives there."
"Southern and eastern parts of al-‪‎Ramousiyeh‬, cement factory, al-Ameriyeh in Northwestern side of al-Ramousiyeh and the region 606 are under full control of the Syrian army and its popular allies," the sources said.
"The entire communication lines of the terrorist groups in the Southern and Southwestern countryside of Aleppo are being strictly monitored by the government forces and no terrorist vehicle can move on the region's roads safely," they added.
"In the meantime, military and logistical supplies have been provided for the Syrian army and its allies via al-‪‎Malaah‬ farms," the sources went on to say.

Aleppo, Syria (7:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division began their assault against the jihadist rebels of Fatah Halab inside the northern sector of Aleppo City today, targeting the latter at the Dahret ‘Abd Rabbo and Al-Zahraa quarters.

According to an Al-Masdar correspondent inside Aleppo City, the Syrian Army’s 4th Division, backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Al-Ba’ath Battalion, launched a large number of mortar shells and rockets towards Fatah Halab’s positions in Dahret ‘Abd Rabbo and Al-Zahraa, killing several enemy combatants in the process.
