USA ryöstää Irakin öljyn

erkko

  • "Miksi sitten GWB joutuu anomaan kongressilta tuontuostakin kymmenien miljardien lisämäärärahoja,.."

Kuka oikeasti uskoo Putleria?

  • "Tuotto käytetään Irakin hallinnon, yhteiskunnan ja koulutuksen jälleenrakentamiseen."

    Ai jaa?

"Two years after the fall of Baghdad, 80% of the $18bn earmarked by the US Congress for Iraq's reconstruction remains unspent."

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4266231.stm

"...net income in the fourth quarter increased to $8.4bn from $6.6bn a year earlier. That brought its profits for 2004 to a record $25bn...

"...The impact of high oil and gas prices could be seen in the increase in profits despite a 1% decline in oil production and a 2% drop in gas production."

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/oil/story/0,11319,1402684,00.html

Sama tietysti koskee kaikkia merkittäviä öljy-yhtiöitä.

"Royal Dutch/Shell said that its net profit had risen by 48% in 2004 to $18.536 billion from the equivalent figure in 2003. Full-year pre-tax profit rose 49% to $32.78 billion and fourth-quarter net income jumped 133% to $4.48 billion compared with the same period last year."

    http://www.finfacts.com/irelandbusinessnews/publish/article_1000350.shtml

Tämän takia USA:n kansalaiset kiristävät vyötään. Jos ovat ylpeitä siitä, niin todistavat tyhmyytensä.

    Eihän tämä tähän jää tokikaan.

"Iran produces more oil than Iraq. If tensions and risks start rising in Iran then we will see oil prices rise.

      OF COURSE WE DIDN’T KNOW!

WHY DIDN’T WE KNOW?—OUR MEDIA WOULDN’T TELL US!

Because a Bush- hating media and Democratic Party would rather see the world blow up than lose their power.

Instead of shouting these accomplishments from every rooftop, they would rather show photo’s of what a few perverted malcontent soldiers have done in prisons in many cases never disclosing the circumstances surrounding the events.

Instead of showing our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at presidential motorcades.

The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves only one purpose. It undermines the world’s perception of the United States and our soldiers.

I AM ASHAMED OF MY FELLOW AMERICANS WHO WOULD RATHER SEE TERRORISM SUCCEED THAN A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT.

"Iraqi electric power consumption increased by a factor of fourteen in the twenty-year period between 1968 and 1988, and in the late 1980s it was expected to double every four to five years. Ongoing rural electrification contributed to increased demand; about 7,000 villages throughout the nation were provided electricity in the same twenty-year period. The destruction in 1980 of power-generating facilities near the Iran-Iraq border interrupted only temporarily the rapid growth in production and consumption. In 1981 the government awarded US$2 billion in contracts to foreign construction companies that were building hydroelectric and thermal generating plants as well as transmission facilities. By 1983 the production and consumption of electricity had recovered to the prewar levels of 15.6 billion kwh (kilowatt hours) and 11.7 billion kwh, respectively. As previously commissioned projects continued to come onstream, Iraq's generating capacity was expected to exceed 6,000 megawatts by 1986. In December 1987, following the completion of power lines designed to carry 400 million kwh of power to Turkey, Iraq became the first country in the Middle East to export electric power. Iraq was expected to earn US$15 million annually from this arrangement. Long-range plans entailed exporting an additional 3 billion kwh to Turkey and eventually providing Kuwait with electricity.

Iraq's plans to develop a nuclear generating capacity were set back by Israel's June 1981 bombing of the Osiraq (OsirisIraq ) reactor, then under construction. In 1988 French, Italian, and Soviet technicians were exploring the feasibility of rebuilding the reactor at a different site. Saudi Arabia had promised to provide financing, and Brazil and Portugal reportedly had agreed to supply uranium.
