What does Paul say itself?
possible scenario (epistle tradition):
0. Paul hunt the heretics jews even outside his own country to defend his faith.
1. Paul get the revelation in Damascus and begins to preach in Nabatea.
2. Paul succeeds in mocking King Aretas and escapes to Damascus.
3. The Etnark of Aretas encapsulates the city, whereby Paul must escape - hiding in the basket.
4. Then after three years, Paul left and travel in back Jerusalem to meet the so called leaders of this new Jewish sect.
Why did I write this? Because some skeptical atheists say that Paul never went to Damascus and that it is a lie because Aretas, becaus Romans, because basket, because Christians, because Jesus is myth, etc etc etc...

Gal. 1:15-17 Mutta Jumala, joka jo äitini kohdusta oli valinnut minut ja armossaan kutsui minut työhönsä, näki hyväksi antaa Poikansa ilmestyä minulle, jotta lähtisin julistamaan vieraille kansoille sanomaa hänestä. Silloin en kysynyt neuvoa yhdeltäkään ihmiseltä enkä heti lähtenyt Jerusalemiin tapaamaan niitä, joista oli tullut apostoleja jo ennen minua. Sen sijaan menin Arabiaan (= Nabatea) ja palasin sieltä takaisin Damaskokseen.
2. Kor. 11:32-33 Damaskoksessa kuningas Aretaksen alainen päällikkö (= käskynhaltija / etnarkki) antoi vartioida kaupunkia pidättääkseen minut, mutta minut laskettiin muurinaukosta korissa alas, ja niin pääsin pakenemaan hänen käsistään.
