Intelligent Design spills over
Recent news about debates and court cases involving the Intelligent Design Movement (IDM) in the USA has been reported in our media.Creationists have long used arguments for design to point to the Creator God, and many Christians are seemingly excited about the publicity the IDM is having.
But did you know that the IDM in general actively distances itself from biblical creation? The IDM includes people from many non-Christian religions, and their approach does not specify who the designer is. This leaves the door open to all sorts of strange ideas, including the idea that aliens could even be the designers—an idea
promoted by many UFO cults today.
Arguments for design are powerful when used in conjunction with the Bible's account of origins, and we urge caution in using ID as a stand-alone mechanism. b:Uskallat hyökätä ID-teorian kimppuun,siis jossain määrin valmis lyömään myös omia.
