stand or fall?

I posted this message in another room because I was deeply disturbed to see people calling themselves Christians while continuing to live in the lie of Homosexuality.

I know that in todays world it is hard to make a stand because we have to be politically correct all the time, but today I am saying NO!

If we don't make a stand for what we know and believe to be the truth then we will not be any use to the cause of Christ.

Homosexuality is defined by Webster Dictionary as 'one who has sexual feelings for persons of the same sex'. Lesiban is defined as a 'female homosexuality'

Homosexuality is referred to directly and specifically in the Scriptures.

In Romans 1:26-27 Paul says, 'Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.'

Paul also lists homosexuality as a sin in:

1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 'Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God. There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away,[c] and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you.'

and 1 Timothy 1:8-11 ' We know these laws are good when they are used as God intended. But they were not made for people who do what is right. They are for people who are disobedient and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who murder their father or mother or other people. These laws are for people who are sexually immoral, for homosexuals and slave traders, for liars and oath breakers, and for those who do anything else that contradicts the right teaching 11that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.

The Old Testament also explicitly prohibited homosexuality...

Leviticus 18:22 says, 'Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin.' and Leviticus 20:13 adds, 'The penalty for homosexual acts is death to both parties. They have committed a detestable act and are guilty of a capital offense.'

The Scripture also condemns Sodom for its homosexual practices in Genesis 19:1-13. The Scripture teaches that sex is to be practiced only within a heterosexual marriage. Genesis 2:18 tells us God provided woman as a companion for man and He clearly encouraged them to be fruitful and multiply. In doing so, God provided the family for the conception, nurturing and development of offspring. Homosexuality violates God's plan and provision for family.

Biologically, God did not create the human body for homosexual activity.

Homosexuality abuses the body often causing physical injury and trauma. Homosexual activity is unhygenic as can be seen in the high rates of sexually transmitted infections. This includes the transmission of HIV and other STI's. (Royal Society of Medicine, UK)

Homosexuality is a chosen behaviour.

The Psychological Association of American say that Homosexuality is a chosen behaviour. http://www.apa.org/ It is a choice not a natural, biological, hormonal or genetically governed behaviour. Despite a multitude of theories attempting to associate homosexual behaviour with genetics or the composition of the brain, no conclusive evidence has yet been presented.

I conclude that the Scripture clearly forbids Christians engaging in any homosexual practice.

God's grace is such that if we are unaware of our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us. But when we know the truth and choose therefore not to walk in it, then we condemn ourselves. We all have to give an account for our actions.    

If we don't stand for something, we fall for anything!
