While serving in Mesquite Nevada, I came accross a man who was 40-45 years old and who had left the church and started his own. His 13 year old daughter was on the ward list and that is how we found him.
He invited us in and cornered us. I knew that something was wrong. For the next 30 or 45 minutes, my 2 companions and I suffered a brutal attack of anti mormonism. I was a young Zone Leader and had never encountered someone who hated the church so much and who knew so much anti (I had heard a lot, but this guy was good). His attack absolutely rocked my testimony. When we arrived home that night, he was waiting at our doorstep. He left us with a pile about a foot high of anti mormon literature. That night, I stayed up and read through all of it, and by the end, I was so confused and scared and simply wanted to go home.

The next day, I pretended that I was sick and my 2 companions went out and worked while I stayed with an Elderly member who lived accross the street from us. I sat in a bedroom contemplating all of the things I had both heard and read the day before. That night, I flipped open the literature again. I soon found that many scriptures were misquoted or taken out of context. The literature was littered with stories from an unnamed source who claimed that he had worked at chuch headquarters and also in a Church history department. He told of the Church's practice of hiding or destroying all evidence that refuted mormon beliefs as well as cover ups for the sins of the brethren. These stories seemed un-credible. (incidentally, the man who delivered the anti had claimed that he had worked at Church Headquarters, and I found out later that he had never worked there and was simply lying to try and add weight to some stories he was telling). The more I read and looked at the gargabe, the more I saw it for what it really was- lies, exaggerations, twists, or simply mocking and trampling sacred things in order to make them seem ridiculous.

I could produce a video of the history of Romans and portray them as living and prospering in anchient China and claim that it was evidence, but we clearly know that it is not so. Same with this video, it was made by an anti-mormon and like V. Mayfield said it was mixed with lies.

You wittness crimes and make a documentary about that. Criminals say that your video was made by an anticriminal and they denounce it. I don't get you soldier boy - too much antithinking perhaps?
