I cant believe that in Finland, in the year 2007(soon 2008) is allowed this brutal law that all men should leave their hobbies, spouses, family and friends for some goddamn army. I've lived in Finland for 36 years, in fact, since 1971 when I was born in Jyväskylä. My parents are British and my father was forced to go the army for some years ago.
Of speaking of myself, I chose to be a civil service man. What really bothers me is this law that if the poor people dont want to go to the military, they are being character assasinated for the rest of their lives in Finland. You do realize that there are better, more sophisticated, wealthy and lovable countries than Finland ?
Labels, such as "coward" or "traitor" are pure examples of labels that truly are attack of your worth. I've experienced such long and lonely moments in this goddam country because I didnt want to join the military. I've had depressions and attempts and thoughts of suicide because Im so misregarded person in this goddam country.
I thought this country was good but now I've came to realize that its best for me to leave this country for good!
