Quantum antenna hypothesis (see the chapter "Quantum antenna hypoth-esis") associates with microtubules (possibly also DNAs) so called massless vacuum extremals carrying light like vacuum currents and thus creating co-
herent state of photons and gravitons. This suggests that the coherent state of photons (and perhaps even those of gravitons) could play a crucial role in making brain and perhaps entire body macroscopic quantum systems.
There is some empirical support the for quantum antenna hypothesis.
a) Monocellular creatures can have elementary vision probably based on microtubules [Albrecht-Buehler].
b) The hypothesis provides explanation for biophotons [Popp et al] and suggests that also ordinary cells (or rather the corresponding coherent states) can perceive BE condensed photons via the microtubules associated with so
called basal bodies, which are abundant on the surface of cell. Coherent state of photons/gravitons is in principle possible for whole body, not only brain.
c) The so called Comorosan effect [Comorosan1, Comorosan et al] (for TGD-based explanation see the chapter "Wormhole magnetic felds") gives also support for the idea that linear structures, even DNA and proteins, can
serve as quantum antennas and detectors of coherent light.
There is very cold in the cellular space-time sheets and this makes possible macroscopic quantum phases formed by Cooper pairs of ions Na , Cl, K and electron as well as well as Ca ions. Also other ions are possible but
these ions are especially important as far biocontrol is considered (Ca waves with very wide velocity spectrum are crucial for bio-control). The observations about the special effects of ELF em fields on brain at cyclotron frequencies of ions Na ; Cl, K , Ca and electron in Earth's magnetic feld to brain were made already at 1983 [Yarrow, Blackman (1994)].
