Yksi tunnetuimmista Jt-tutkijoista, Greg Stafford, kirjoittaa varovaisen ytimekkäästi seuraavaa uusimmasta yrityksestä todistella 607:n oikeellisuutta:

"Rolf [Furuli] has informed me that his book is ready and he will be sending me a copy, soon. I will probably offer it on my site, as I would offer any rebuttal by Jonsson if available. I was not given any of the drafts of this book to read, so I really do not know much about it other than what has been advertised.

Rolf is most certainly a capable Semitic scholar who, in my opinion, will give a fair consideration to the material. But we'll have to wait and see how definitive his presentation is and to what extent he is able to answer certain challenges by Jonsson and others.

As can be seen from the Appendix in my Three Dissertations, as far as the biblical texts relating to this question are concerned I believe Jonsson's presentation is more convincing than the Society's, though I think Jonsson is himself too dogmatic (at least in his GTR book) on his conclusions about certain texts. I think the question in terms of the biblical data is more open to discussion than either side will admit; however, the secular documents at this point seem to heavily favor Jonsson's views. Again, we'll see what Rolf has to say."

Itse vuosiluvusta yhtenä tärkeimmistä Jt-opinkappaleista hän toteaa seuraavaa:

"Indeed, and God's judgment aside, acceptance of the 1914 chronology is essential to approved association with other Witnesses, at least openly, as you also know. What an unfortunate and unscriptural requirement for Christian fellowship."
