    International students looking for Katajanokka Finns

    We're a bunch of international students (Serbian, Mexican, Malaysian) studying in UK and were passing through Helsinki last Easter spring break (April 8th Wed & 9th Thurs) on our way to Tallinn. The weather was freezing, but we were really impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the locals, in particular the 2 guys we shared Tram 4 with on Easter eve: 9th April, 1140pm, from Kamppi till the Vyokatu stop Their sharing of anecdotes on shy Finns was unforgettable, especially when we were waiting for the late tram -rare incident in Helsinki Now, we wanna experiment if it's possible to connect to them and get to know them better? So if anybody knows them (both who live in the Katajanokka area), please help to direct them to email us back at [email protected] Thanks! Description: Guy 1: of Pakistani origin, a Helsinki resident for past 18 years, and has 3 kids, a grey beard and wears glasses. Guy 2: Finn, has lived abroad in the Netherlands for a few years, about 6' in height. Marko, Bety & Audrey p/s are there better ways to track down someone in Finland? any suggestions are much appreciated!

    is quite good, I think, and if it had been me, I would recognise it. I wonder if there is a Finnish-Dutch group, or Finnish-Pakistani group/club you could contact? I don't live in Finland any more, so I don't know. Good luck to you in finding your new friends.

    • Hi Thanks for the comment - Were you staying in Katajanokka prior to leaving Finland? This is like finding 2 needles in the haystack of 5M Finns - we should've asked them for their FB accounts then! :( But yes, we still hope this experiment goes well :D We tried the Finnish Pakistani group, but it seems like a dead-end, we will try your suggestion: the Finnish-Dutch group, although the 2nd guy is actually a Finn... Cheerios, mba
