Many of the people who come to our meetups are there for the first time. Do not be shy ! The people at our meetups are nice and the atmosphere is friendly !

The best way to find the group is to come early and meet others outside Villi Wäinö at 6.50pm.

Villi Waino is on three levels : basement, street level, 1st floor

Helsinki Expat Meetup has a table reservation ( starting at 7pm ) for 15 people in the pub on street level. A band will start palying in the basement at 8pm . Normal conversation in the street level pub should be possible after 8pm also.

Helsinki Expats will meet at Elmo´s Bar&Grill on Saturday March the 6th starting at 7pm.

Elmo´s has a doorman on weekends to maintain order and keep away troublemakers. That means that there is a cloak-room charge of 2 Euros on weekends.

( There is a little error on that page. Elmo´s closes at 3am on Sunday mornings and not 0.30am. )

Some of the Finnish reviewers were VERY impressed by the food at Elmo´s and some were critical. The portions are big !

These reviews were in English :

"Chili steak burger was nice surprise being a steak instead of burger. Staff is great in this joint."

"One of my favorites when it comes to gamenights. Chili Beef Burger is legendary in my books. So many TVs it's hard to look away from them. Beer's price is the standard downtown prices."

"Bacon-burger was awful. The beef was of really low quality compared to Chico's, Memphis etc. Additionally, I really disliked the liquid cheese they use.
You'll get your stomach full for around 10 EUR, but the quality of the burgers lags behind the competition."

The restaurant has a separate room for games.

One way to find the group is to come early and meet others outside Elmo´s Bar&Grill at 6.50pm. If you come later just ask the waiters where the table for Helsinki Expat Meetup is and they will help you. It would also be a good idea to memorize some faces from the list of "confirmed guests".

I do not need a crystal ball to see that some of you ( if you are coming ) will fall in love with Elmo´s Bar&Grill.
