Qur'an says that the prophets were slain (Suras 2:61; 3:21, 112, 181ff; 4:155).

Tuo koraanin kohta osoittaa että ristiinnaulinta ja ylösnuosemus liittyvät samaan tapahtumaan. Toisaalla Koraanissa kerrotaan että Jumala aiheutti Jeesuksen kuoleman tai tappoi Jeesuksen.
Juutalaiset levittivät kehuskellen oppia siitä ettei Jeesus noussut ylös, vaan että hänen ruumiinsa olisi yhä tänä päivänä Jerusalemin mullissa.
Matt.28:13-15
"Sanokaa, että hänen opetuslapsensa tulivat yöllä ja veivät hänet varkain meidän nukkuessamme. [...] Ja tätä puhetta on levitetty juutalaisten kesken, ja sitä kerrotaan vielä tänäkin päivänä. "
Mutta juutalaiset eivät Jeesusta tappaneet, vaan Jumala hänet tappoi.

125. Ketä Jumala tahtoo johdattaa, hänen rintansa avaa Hän Islaamille, ja kenen hän antaa eksyä, hänen rintansa Hän tekee niin ahtaaksi ja ahdistetuksi, kuin hänen täytyisi kiivetä taivaaseen. Siten saattaa Jumala häpeään ne, jotka eivät usko.
