I really think religions as social phenomena. There's no difference between bad person from religion A and a bad person from religion B.

Maryam, I think you are right. Proper education of *pick a religion* helps people acting nicely. As I have seen that proper education of christianity helps preventing problems.

Now I must ast what is real Islam and what is real christianity?
Statistics says: majority is what represent real Islam
Believer says: my interpretation is real Islam
Trash media says: Islamist extremist group represents the real Islam
So what is real representation of Islam?
How many people are teaching wrong Islam what influence they have in muslim society? How or why they can teach if wrong?
These people will tell they say only the real words of Allah. Some people will take those words granted and act accordingly, both muslims and non-muslims. Is wrong that some had possibility only to hear some extremist Islamist propaganda, and starts to fear Allah and his revenge?
Where those words really came from? They didn't come from mouth of Allah, those words came from mouth of a human being. It really doesn't matter for us if Allah said a wrong word, but it really does matter to us when people say wrong words. Religions really don't teach us to fight against each other, people do.
I guess almost every religion have some teachings about peace and war. You can count them statistically.
I guess we agree that people speak and do as they are taught, added with some own thinking and free will. Especially with moral issues, since there is no logical truth/false value, people often believe what they have heard or have read the most.
Therefore, what a religious book teaches is that what it says the most. Quran mostly teaches that Allah is the greatest and so on, no muslim will ever disagree with that. Let's continue to war / peace issues... Some will interpret some things justified or unjustified depending on how many times they read certain chapters, or what some better knowing scholar says, and of course some randomness added.
After this quite complicated process of interpretation we end up with some people fighting and some seeking for peace. Fighting people cannot be a majority, otherwise they would just kill each other.
So I really am a peace seeker, and do believe in peace, so I choose my religion accordingly.
If you do the maths yourself, you will find that that the most peaceful religion on earth is pacifism.
And everyone who seeks peace, should believe in pacifism and support it totally. It is the only religion that could bring total peace on earth!
