Suomenruotsalaiset rantavahdit karkasi sankoin joukoin Uumajaan 1944 kesällä. 800:sta Uumajassa olleesta sotilaskarkurista 3/4 osaa eli 600 oli kotoisin Suomen ruotsinkieliseltä Pohjanmaalta. Nyt on aiheesta tehty musikaalikin: Pet Shop Boys - Go West. Sen sanoitus on kuin suoraan Uumajan lohkolta otettu: "Go West, Life is peaceful there"

Katsokaa maanpettureita heiluttamassa henkisen kotimaansa Ruotsin suuntaan ja nämä tyypit vielä väittävät olevansa suomalaisia, mutta kuva kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat (valheellista) sanaa.

Täältä käy ilmi, että lippu on sama kuin Nasjonal samlingilla, Norjan natsipuolueella jota johti kuuluisa Quisling, josta on tullut synonyymi isänmaanpetturille useisiin kieliin:

Ja tässä Draksvikin urhojen "suunannäyttäjä", "kreivillinen motiivi", vaikkapa Uumajaan menijöille. Kaksikeulainen vene on helppo tositilanteessa... jompi kumpi pää on aina lähtövälmiina... ei tarvitse vekslata kiireessä 180 astetta uuteen "hyökkäykseen"...

Quisling's party, Nasjonal Samling (National Unity), had a Scandinavian cross flag of red field and yellow cross. All the various specialised organisations within the party (Hird, women's and youth organisations etc.) also had flags. These were based on the party emblem, the sun cross, a red disc with a yellow cross. The emblem was put on a plain field. Each organisation had a different colour.

The party flag of Nasjonal Samling was in proportions 10:16, the cross being equal to 2 parts, the red rectangles at the hoist were 4 parts by 5 and those at the free end of the flag 4 parts by 9. In other words, the party flag design had proportions different from those of the national flag of Norway.
The Nasjonal Samling party flag seems to have been in use from the party was set up in 1933 until the liberation of Norway 8. May 1945.

Ahvenanmaalla merimetsot saa ampua. Rantahurri on luonnon täystuho!
Mikään ei ole hurreilta turvassa, ei edes taivaan linnut tai ikuisista ajoista alkaen meressä eläneet hylkeet. Kaikki olisi hävitettävä jotta rantavahdit eläisivät leveämmin.
On maailman hulluin selitys että linnut syövät mahdollisen kalansaaliin. Eihän se saalis ole itsestään selvästi rantahurrin omaisuutta, vaan meren viljaa kaikille. Kyllä se on melkein samantekevää joutuuko se kala tarhaminkin rehuksi vai hylkeen suuhun tai Merimetson kitaan.
Nythän nuo Ahvenat on ampuneet muuttolintujakin aina keväisin. Mikään ei siis riitä.
Merimetsojen pesien tuhoaminen alkoi Turun saaristossa

Merimetsokannan rajoittaminen käynnistyi perjantaina Airistolla, Turun saaristossa. Airisto-Velkuan kalastusalue sai pikaisesti luvan häätää merimetsot Mynälahden keskeisen ammattikalastusalueen ulkopuolelle.
Ensimmäisessä vaiheessa tehtiin noin 330 pesässä kaikkiaan lähes tuhanteen merimetson mukaan reikä, jolloin pesiminen epäonnistuu. Jokaiseen pesään jätetään kuitenkin yksi ehjä muna, jotta lintu jää hautomaan, eikä ehdi munia uudestaan. Muilla pesimäluodoilla merimetson pesintä estetään.
- Nämä toimet eivät juurikaan rajoita merimetsokantaa, vaan ne vain siirtyvät muualle. Painetta tulee nyt ehkä lisää Kustavin, Satakunnan ja Naantalin aukon suuntaan. Ahvenanmaalla merimetsot saa ampua, sanoo Airisto-Velkuan kalastusalueen isännöitsijä Timo Saarinen.
Varsinais-Suomen elinkeino, liikenne ja ympäristökeskus myönsi luvat merimetsojen rajoitustoimiin kun tällä viikolla kävi selväksi etteivät merimetsoneuvottelukunnan tavoitteet ole toteutumassa alueella.
- Merimetso on aikamoinen kalarohmu. Yksi merimetso syö päivässä noin puoli kiloa kalaa, kun yhdyskuntiin kuuluu tuhansia lintuja, niin päiväkulutus lasketaan tonneissa. Meidänkin alueelle kysymys on esimerkiksi kuhasta, ahvenesta ja silakasta.
Merimetson pesimisen estämistoimet jatkuvat maanantaina.
