SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Pet owners in California
will soon be required to place a microchip in
every dog and cat they sell, as well as obtain a
permit for each animal to be sold, if a bill in
the state legislature becomes law.
Senate Bill 236 by Sen. Jack O'Connell, D-Santa
Barbara, would require anyone who wants to sell a
dog or cat under 1-year-old to obtain a permit
for an unspecified fee per animal from the local
animal services agency. The permit would need to
be obtained before advertising any such sale, and
all ads would have to include the permit number.
Additionally, the bill provides that every time a
dog or cat is sold in California, regardless of
the animal's age, it must be "microchipped" and
the owner's identification entered into a local
or national registry. And every time ownership of
the animal is transferred, the new owner's
information must be reported to the registry.
Local officials would be charged with maintaining
records regarding the number and type of dogs and
cats sold, and the records would be open to the
public, excluding owner- and former owner-contact
information.
The bill is sponsored by Richard McLellan, M.D.,
of the Animal Legislative Action Network, a
political action committee that supports animal-
rights proposals.
"When an animal is first sold from a breeder into
a new home, there's usually a way of finding out
who that original owner was. After that, if
becomes much less easy to follow these animals,"
said McLellan about the microchipping
requirement. "We identify all sorts of things in
our society for a number of reasons. We put
serial numbers on VCRs and toasters," but there
is no permanent identification marker for pets.
The bill would help create a paper or electronic
trail for animals.
While the bill does not specify which
manufacturer's microchips are to be used, one of
the most recent of such devices to enter the
market is Applied Digital Solutions' Digital
Angel®. As reported by WorldNetDaily, Digital
Angel® isn't just for pets. Unlike its microchip
ancestors, which were intended for animal
identification and location only, Digital Angel®
is intended for human use and can monitor vital
physical functions such as heart rate and body
temperature. Microchips are implanted under the
skin of the person or animal."

Faith: Historians say Resurrection a reality
By UWE SIEMON-NETTO, UPI Religion correspondent
WASHINGTON, April 11 (UPI) - "If Christ is not
risen, then our preaching
is empty and our faith is also empty," the
Apostle Paul wrote only a few
years after the Crucifixion (1 Corinthians 15:14).
The Resurrection narrative in all four gospels is
the one story on which
all Christian hope is fixed. Is it a ruse? Was it
the figment of the scared
disciples' hysterical imagination that Jesus
appeared to them after his
execution?
The late Pinchas Lapide, a Jewish New Testament
scholar, considers this
suggestion of 19th and early 20th-century liberal
theologians preposterous:
"This band of disciples was beaten and weary. Yet
almost overnight it
transformed itself into a victorious faith
movement," he wrote.
"If this had occurred simply on the basis of auto-
suggestion and
self-deceit, it would have been a much greater
miracle than the Resurrection
itself."
In a dramatic turnaround from post-Enlightenment
skepticism, historians
are now inclined to give much more credence to
the New Testament accounts of
the Resurrection than their predecessors.
"There is so much evidence pointing to its
veracity," wrote professor
Juergen Spiess of Marburg University in IDEA, a
German Protestant news
service.
According to Spiess and several other historians,
Christ was probably
crucified on April 7 of the year 30. If this is
so, the Resurrection
occurred on April 9, a Sunday.
There have always been doubters claiming that
Jesus never died on the
cross. Mohammed denied it. But the Biblical
passion stories are backed up by
at least one irreproachable secular source:
The Roman historian Tacitus (55-120 A.D.) wrote
that the "founder of this
sect (the Christians) was executed during the
reign of (emperor) Tiberius by
the Governor Pontius Pilate" (Tacitus, annals
XV). "This corroborates
Scripture," Spiess explained.
"Historians work like lawyers," he
continued, "They reconstruct past
events on the basis of sources, evidence and
eyewitness accounts."
Helga Botermann, a professor at Goettingen
University, has shown that in
researching the Good Friday and Easter events,
the evangelist Luke followed
the same methodology used by modern historians.
Luke, a Greek physician, "endeavored to present
the facts as they had
happened. He used eyewitness accounts and -- in
the Book of Acts -- his own
recollections."
Botermann went on to state, "Luke wrote for his
contemporaries, who were
capable of judging his account of these facts
with which they were familiar
either from their own experience or the reports
of others.
"Thus there is no justifiable reason to approach
his rendering of history
with prejudicial skepticism ... Luke's sources
were also his critics. This
makes it very unlikely that he embellished his
story willfully with his own
prejudices or intentions."
Spiess sees Christ's empty grave as a key piece
of evidence for the
veracity of the Resurrection story. Here he
agrees with William Lane Craig,
arguably one of America's finest Christian
apologists.
In an article published in Truth Journal, Lane
pointed out that even "the
earliest Jewish polemic presupposed the empty
tomb." It simply interpreted
this phenomenon differently.
"In Matthew 28, we find the Christian attempt to
refute (this)," Craig
wrote. "That polemic asserted that the disciples
stole away the body. The
Christians responded ... by reciting the story of
a guard at the tomb, and
the polemic in turn charged that the guard fell
asleep."
The long and the short of this dispute is,
though, that both sides
provided evidence for the empty tomb, Craig said.
Pinchas Lapide, the Jewish scholar, added another
point favoring the
Resurrection account. The first people to find
the grave empty and encounter
the risen Christ were women.
But women had such a low standing in Hebrew
society at that time that
their testimony would not have even been
considered in court. Hence, Lapide
reasoned that anybody trying to fake a story in
1st-century Palestine would
hardly have presented women as his prime
witnesses.
Another argument against the Resurrection
narrative survived in multiple
variations for almost 2,000 years and was eagerly
picked up by rationalist
German scholars of the late 18th and 19th
centuries."

Simon Greenleaf, who was head of the Harvard Law
School for some 30 years, was once challenged by
his students to apply his "Laws of Legal
Evidence" (which are still a standard reference
for courts today) to an investigation of the
resurrection of Jesus Christ.
After a thorough study, Greenleaf concluded that
Jesus' resurrection was supported by better and
fuller evidence than any other event of
antiquity. He wrote a book on his investigation
called "The Testimony of The Four Evangelists,"
which is still available in most University legal
libraries.
It is a recognized fact that the validity of
Christianity stands or falls with whether Jesus
Christ came out of his tomb bodily alive three
days after his death.
This is not something that Jesus' followers set
up -- Jesus himself threw down this gauntlet in
front of his most dedicated enemies. Jesus,
unlike any other religious leader in history,
staked the validity of everything he taught,
lived and died for on the single condition that
he would rise from the dead bodily on the third
day. He bet it all on that one proposition. This,
more than any other factor, makes him unique
among all other religious founders.
One of the first evidences to consider is whether
the written accounts of the resurrection can be
trusted. The very animosity of the religious
leaders, who forced his execution, is one reason
we can trust that they are true. We know that
this message about Jesus' resurrection was
preached in the streets of Jerusalem within a
couple weeks of his death. The religious leaders
had every motive to produce evidence to disprove
their claims. They could have easily ended the
claim either by producing his body, or the bodies
of his followers who were killed stealing Jesus'
body from the Roman soldiers. But no evidence was
ever produced.
The political ambitions of Pontius Pilate
certainly carried enough motive and determination
to end this claim if it were false. He knew that
this movement would greatly harm his career if
allowed to stand. This is why he condemned Jesus
to be crucified after he had pronounced him
innocent.
Here is part of Matthew's account of the events
surrounding the resurrection:
The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the
chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate.
"Sir," they said, "we remember that while he was
still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days
I will rise again.' So give the order for the
tomb to be made secure until the third day.
Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the
body and tell the people that he has been raised
from the dead. This last deception will be worse
than the first."
"Take a guard," Pilate answered. "Go, make the
tomb as secure as you know how."
So they went and made the tomb secure by putting
a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
Now remember the motives of each group to make
certain that tomb was secure. Jesus' enemies
testified that he had claimed he would rise
bodily alive after three days.
I consulted the best historical account of the
practices of the Roman legions for this era to
find out details of what would have been done in
a maximum-security case like this -- "The
Institutes of the Roman Legions" by Vegitius.
In such a case, they would have posted
a "quaternion," or four squads of soldiers, to
each watch. So 16 battle-tested soldiers of 10th
Legion, which was one of Rome's best, were posted
as guards at Jesus' tomb. If attacked, a
quaternion would form a square and could stand
off an army until reinforcements arrived. This
same formation is used in Acts 12:4 in another
case of the same magnitude.
When it says they made the tomb secure, it means
they made sure the body they were charged to
watch was there, then rolled the large round
stone (about a ton in weight) into place until it
dropped into a notch that was cut out of the
stone floor. The stone was hard against the solid
rock face of the tomb. The penalty for failure on
watch in the Roman legion was instant execution,
so we can rest assured they did everything
according to the book.
A centurion, according to regulations, regularly
checked watches. If he caught a soldier cat-
napping, he would first light his toga with his
torch, then put a sword down the offender's neck
to his heart.
This tended to give soldiers insomnia.
In spite of all these precautions, three days
later the tomb was empty. The stone was
miraculously rolled back. When the soldiers
checked and found no body, they fled in terror.
Some deserted. Some went to the Jewish religious
authorities and told them what happened. The only
explanation ever given by the Jewish religious
authorities was that the disciples of Jesus came
and stole his body while the soldiers slept.
This explanation could never stand up in any
courtroom. How did the cowering disciples, who
hid when their leader was arrested, get the
courage to stand up against the Roman soldiers?
What would have been their motive? How could all
16 soldiers be so sound asleep when they knew it
meant death if caught? If they were asleep, how
could they have remained so when a one-ton stone
was ground across the rock face to open the tomb?
The noise would have roused the dead.
How could the disciples have the courage to go to
terrible martyrs' deaths because they wouldn't
renounce their testimony that they had seen Jesus
alive and that he had conquered death? Not one
out of over 500 witnesses recanted of that
testimony.
The very transformation that took place in Peter
and the other disciples shows that Jesus must
have come back alive and empowered them by His
spirit -- as He promised He would.
Thank God Jesus is still transforming lives in
the same way today. We just have to believe that
he died to purchase a pardon for our sins, and
then receive the pardon personally. I did, and
now I am certain He is alive."
Lihaa tulossa uskoville.

Joku kuitenkin taas tuo esille että "Naapurin

selventää Raamatun kanta joka on että ei
antikristus ole ainoa ihminen ja ensimmäinen

mutta kuitenkin antikristuksenkin nimen lukuarvo
tulee olemaan 666.
Luultavasti tämä pedon merkki tulee olemaan hänen

älykkäät ja loogiset ihmiset eivät kuunaan usko,
kuten Raamattuun, sillä se on täynnä ristiriitoja
ja epätotuuksia, kun sitä verrataan muihin
historiallisiin teoksiin. Lisäksi vetoat
muutamiin harvoihin (maailmanlaajuisesti
harvoihin) tutkijoihin ja kirjoittelijoihin
joiden todellisuuden kuva on hämärtynyt. Jos
pystyisit ajattelemaan kriittisesti käyttämiäsi
tekstejä ja lukemaan MYÖS sinua vastustavia
tekstejä enemmän (siis kunnon tutkimuksia) niin
kenties saisit selvyyden touhuamisiisi. Sillä
sitä sinä teet, touhuat ja mekastat ilman
parempaa tietoa. Kuten joku oivasti sanoikin,
paikat ihmisen ruumiissa jossa on sopiva
verenkierto implantille.
implanttia ollenkaan, vaikka alussa toisin
luultiinkin. Pedon merkki (nimi tosin on
luultavasti eri :D) on pian täällä. Sen tultua se
on pakko ottaa, jos ei ota, ei voi ostaa mitään
eikä luultavasti käydäkkään yhtään ihmisten
ilmoilla, eli sama asia jos olisi rikollinen. Jos
taas ottaa pedon merkkiin, silloin joutuu
kadotukseen, tässä Raamattu on kerrankin
superselvä. Mutta tänään, pedonmerkkiä ei ole
vielä ilmaantunut, eivätkä ihmiset vielä sylje
päälle, on aikaa vielä pelastua ja olla
joutumatta tähän suuren koetuksen aikaan. Jeesus
pelastaa omansa tästä koetuksesta. Tutkikaamme
siis Jeesuksen sanoja vaikka pelkästään VARMUUDEN
VUOKSI (tosin ei voi uskoa pelkästään varmuuden
vuoksi..), että ei pääse Jeesus ja tuomio
yllättämään. Jeesus pelastaa, ei kukaan muu.
Hevoinen vastasi sulle ihan oikein. Minäkin oon
kuullu ihan saman perustelun. Vaikka nää asiat
tuntuu ihan ihmellisiltä, ne ovat varmasti totta.
Tämmönen systeemi on varmastikin tulossa.
Lueskelepa vaikka ihan huviksesi ilmestyskirjas-
ta, kun siellä kerrotaan muistakin tulevista
tapahtumista. Siitäkin, että tulee aika,
jolloin aurinko alkaa paistaa niin kuumasti, että
se polttaa. Kerrotaan, että ihmiset silloin
tuskissaan pilkkaavat Jumalaa. Mitä luulet, eikö
olekin uutisissa ollut tietoja siitä, että
maapallon keskilämpötila nousee jatkuvasti ja
otsoonikerros ohenee. Tätäkään ei olisi uskottu
vielä parikymmentä vuotta sitten, mutta nyt
kukaan ei tarvii todistusta siitä, että aurinko
polttaa. Sen tuntee ja näkee.
ei sitä helvettiä ole.
älä pelkää poika.
kyllä tästä otzoonikerroksesta on jo puhuttu
vähintään 20 vuotta, mutta kun saastuttajat eivät
ota oppiakseen.
tiedemiehet ovat kyllä "ennustaneet" kalavesien
pilaantumisen ja kalojen joukkokuolemat ja
auringonsäteitten pääsemisen vahingoittamaan
ihmistä, koska me pilaamme ozon-kerroksen.
mutta emme me vaan ota opiksemme.
kaikki johtuu jumalan tyhmyydestä, loihan hän
ihmisen omaksi kuvakseen.
vai johtuuko kaikki omenasta, vai vai vai vai....
Vähän paha mennä sanomaan Jumalaa tyhmäksi. Siitä
syntyy nääs semmonen kehäpäätelmä, että jos sinä,
Jumalan kuvaksi luotu ihminen sanot Jumalaa
tyhmäksi olet sitä siinä tapauksessa itsekin -
olethan Hänen kuvansa.
Valinnan vapaus, jonka Jumala meille antoi on
suurta rakkautta meitä kohtaan, ei suinkaan
tyhmyyttä, julmuutta eikä mitään pahaa.
Jumala antaa meidän valita vapaasti oman
toimintamme rajat: saamme tehdä joko hyvää tai
pahaa. Omapa on asiamme, jokainen kärsii/saa
palkkansa omista teoistaan ( tosin monet muutkin
joutuvat kärsimään jos teemme väärin).
Me puuhailemme omiamme täällä pikku maailmassamme.
Omissa pikku ympyröissämme. Olemme kuin kärpäsiä
lentokoneessa: luulemme, että siinä on meidän
koko maailmamme. Itse asiassa olemme vain
matkalaisia, sidottuja niihin olosuhteisiin,
siihen "lentokoneeseen", joka vie meitä perille.
Itse meillä on vapaus valita, haluammeko nauttia
ja antaa toistenkin kanssamatkaavien nauttia
matkasta, vai teemmekö matkasta ikävän. Jumala
vie kyllä omansa perille asti, vaikka olosuhteet
ympärillämme olisivat millaiset tahansa.
Vaatii suurta rohkeutta tunnustaa omat virheensä,
paljon suurempaa rohkeutta kuin selitellä
loputtomasti. Kaikki ei johdu omenasta, ei...ei...
kaikki johtuu sinusta ja minusta.
hiljasta. Sallinet jos lainaan suurta-ajttelijaa
ja kolkkapoikaa nimeltä Glenn Benton "Rip of your
bible before it's too late!!!" tämä sitten
sanotaan örinääänellä(mahdollisimman ilkeästi).
