Noin viikko sitten ulkolaisella kanavalla oli dokumenttiohjelma Cumbre Viejasta ja sen mahdollisesta länsipuolen vajoamisesta seurauksineen. Sen kimmoittamana ajattelin laitta aiheesta avauksen ja hieman infoa Espanjaa koskevalle palstalle.
Geologi ja tulivuorispesialisti sanoi ettei ole kysymys tapahtuuko se vaan milloin se tapahtuu. Cumre Vieja on alan tiedemiehien lähitarkkailussa ollut jo pidempään.
Kyseessä olisi todella massiivinen tsunami joka ulottuisi Afrikan rannikolta ja Britaniasta Atlantin ylitse USA:n itärannikolle saakka suihkukoneen nopeudella ja olisi suurempi kuin koskaan tunnettu.
