Kannattaa aina lukea Emil Antonin apologioita:

Katolilainen apologeetti Robert Sungenis on kirjoittanut kirjan "Galileio Was Wrong" ja tehnyt myös apologeettisen dokumentti filmin geosentrisestä maailmankuvasta nimeltä "The principle", http://galileowaswrong.com.

Mielenkiintoinen argumentointi aiheesta:
"So why was Galileo wrong and the Roman Catholic Church right?
Two points actually.
The first is Einstein's theory of relativity. In this he correctly stated that there is not one point in space that can be seen as a fixed point of reference, that has any positional status above any other. All points in space are relative to each other, and have equal status w.r.t. relative reference points and positions.
If one states that the Earth revolves around the sun, you are breaking this rule, and implying that the sun has a higher positional status relative to that of the Earth. You are in effect stating that the sun is a fixed reference point in space, which it just isn't.
The second is a thought experiment.
Imagine you have two heavenly bodies, call them body A and body B, in a binary orbit configuration as found in many cases in the universe. They could be stars but it doesn't really matter. Assume they have exactly equal mass. Also assume that they have mass equal to our sun in the solar system, and the relative distance between them is the same as the distance between the earth and the sun. It would be correct to say that these two bodies orbit *around each other*, or that body A orbits body B, and body B orbits body A. Each of their orbits is exactly the same.
Now assume that you are God, and you could simply by will alone reduce the mass of one of these bodies, say body B. Apparently this is quite a simple task to perform if you are actually God.
Now reduce this one body's (B) mass by one kilogram. Does that change the situation much? Not really, the two bodies would still orbit around each other. Body A would orbit body B and body B would orbit body A.
Now continue this reducing of the mass of body B up to the point where the smaller body is 90% the mass of the larger body. Any change? Nope, they still orbit around each other. The only thing you'll see is the orbit of the larger body is slightly smaller in circumference than the orbit of the smaller body. Body A would *still* orbit body B and body B would orbit body A.
Now continue the reduction of the smaller body's mass (B) until you get to the size of the Earth. Any change? Nope, exactly the same as before, the two bodies still orbit each other. The larger body A now only has a very small orbit (or wobble) and the smaller object, body B, has a very large orbit. Body A would *still* orbit body B and body B would *still* orbit body A.
At no single point during the reduction from 90% to the mass of the Earth was there a sudden switch from the situation that the two bodies orbited each other to a situation that the one and only one orbits the other. So the Earth orbits the sun, and the sun orbits Earth.
So the actual fact of the matter is that in the universe, everything orbits everything else. Jupiter orbits the earth; the super massive black hole at the center of the galaxy orbits the moon, and the Andromeda galaxy orbits Russell’s teapot in orbit (!) somewhere past Mars.
Effectively you can place a ping-pong ball somewhere between Ursa Minor and Rigel III and you will find that the whole universe orbits the ping-pong ball.
So in conclusion the RCC was 100% correct in their assertion that everything orbits, or revolves around the earth. And Galileo was 100% wrong in asserting that this was not so. Galileo was a real piece of work that sullied the precise mechanism of the working of the universe with his silly nonsense that opposed God's delicate balancing of every atom and quark of the universe.
They should have burned him at the stake, the pernicious buffoon." http://www.news24.com/MyNews24/Galileo-was-Wrong-The-Roman-Catholic-Church-was-Right-20130724
Jatkossa asiaa koskevat copy-paste -viestit poistetaan.
Ainahan voit kokeilla. Kuluu se aika noinkin.
Pelkät linkit poistetaan, mikä on normaalikäytäntö.
"In fact, three Popes (Paul V, Urban VIII and Alexander VII) have officially declared that heliocentrism is opposed to Sacred Scripture, and condemned the notion that heliocentrism was a truth to be believed with certainty." http://scripturecatholic.com/geocentrism.html

Katoliikin viestistä on tehty poistopyyntö kunnianloukkauksen vuoksi.
P.S. URL on tallessa.
He toimivat parhaaksi uskomansa sen aikaisen tiedon perusteella.
Odotan mielenkiinnolla vastaustasi/vastaustanne. Näin se keskustelu toimii normaalilla tavalla.
Varoitan sinua, jos hylkää jonkun katolisen kirkon opin, jonka se on julistanut Jumalalta tulleeksi, hylkäät silloin koko opin ja uskosi on nolla.
Aloittaisi mm. lukemalla John Salzan blogin, jonka linkki on yllä. Raamattu, Traditio ja kirkonisät sanovat selvästi, että maa on kiinteä eikä liiku mihinkään, aurinko liikkuu. Periaatteessa kirkonisät kaikki sanovat samaa. Kolme paavia myös.
Näytä dokumentti, jossa kirkko on muuttanut näkökantaansa.
Paljastat aina ennenpitkää itsesi :) Tässä kehitys viime vuosisadalla:
The position of the curia evolved slowly over the centuries towards permitting the heliocentric view. In 1757, during the papacy of Benedict XIV, the Congregation of the Index withdrew the decree which prohibited all books teaching the earth's motion, although the Dialogue and a few other books continued to be explicitly included. In 1820, the Congregation of the Holy Office, with the pope's approval, decreed that Catholic astronomer Joseph Settele was allowed to treat the earth's motion as an established fact. In 1822, the Congregation of the Holy Office removed the prohibition on the publication of books treating of the earth's motion in accordance with modern astronomy and Pope Pius VII ratified the decision. The 1835 edition of the Catholic Index of Prohibited Books for the first time omits the Dialogue from the list. [Finocchiaro, Maurice A. (1989). The Galileo Affair: A Documentary History. Berkeley: University of California Press. p. 307] In a papal encyclical written in 1921 Pope Benedict XV stated that, "though this earth on which we live may not be the center of the universe as at one time was thought, it was the scene of the original happiness of our first ancestors, witness of their unhappy fall, as too of the Redemption of mankind through the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ." [ In Praeclara Summorum: Encyclical of Pope Benedict XV on Dante to Professors and Students of Literature and Learning in the Catholic World. Rome. 1921-04-30. § 4.] In 1965 the Second Vatican Council stated that, "Consequently, we cannot but deplore certain habits of mind, which are sometimes found too among Christians, which do not sufficiently attend to the rightful independence of science and which, from the arguments and controversies they spark, lead many minds to conclude that faith and science are mutually opposed." (Koskee erityisesti trolleja) [Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World 'Gaudium Et Spes' Promulgated by His Holiness, Pope Paul IV on December 7, 196". § 36] The footnote on this statement is to Msgr. Pio Paschini's, Vita e opere di Galileo Galilei, 2 volumes, Vatican Press (1964). And Pope John Paul II regretted the treatment which Galileo received, in a speech to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in 1992. The Pope declared the incident to be based on a "tragic mutual miscomprehension". He further stated:
Cardinal Poupard has also reminded us that the sentence of 1633 was not irreformable, and that the debate which had not ceased to evolve thereafter, was closed in 1820 with the imprimatur given to the work of Canon Settele. . . . The error of the theologians of the time, when they maintained the centrality of the earth, was to think that our understanding of the physical world's structure was, in some way, imposed by the literal sense of Sacred Scripture. Let us recall the celebrated saying attributed to Baronius "Spiritui Sancto mentem fuisse nos docere quomodo ad coelum eatur, non quomodo coelum gradiatur". In fact, the Bible does not concern itself with the details of the physical world, the understanding of which is the competence of human experience and reasoning. There exist two realms of knowledge, one which has its source in Revelation and one which reason can discover by its own power. To the latter belong especially the experimental sciences and philosophy. The distinction between the two realms of knowledge ought not to be understood as opposition. [Pope John Paul II (1992-11-04). "Faith can never conflict with reason". L'Osservatore Romano 44 (1264). (Published English translation).]
Näitä on netti pullollaan. Aivan samoilla herätysliikkeiden toisiaan siteeraavilla blogeilla meitä on yritetty pommittaa.
"The position of the curia evolved slowly over the centuries towards permitting the heliocentric view. In 1757, during the papacy of Benedict XIV, the Congregation of the Index withdrew the decree which prohibited all books teaching the earth's motion..."
"Then some publishers approached the same Sacred Congregation of the Index to have the above corrections of the above-mentioned works and to be able to publish them, exempt from the announced
suspension… So another decree appeared declaring that the system
should be understood as condemned only when it was expounded as an absolute thesis, but not when it was expounded as a hypothesis to better know the revolutions of the heavenly spheres. These corrections appeared in a decree of the Sacred Congregation of the
Index of the year 1620. They emended the chapters of Copernicus’ work in such a way that the printed text is left intact where it speaks problematically, and it is changed to mere hypothesis where it speaks in the manner of a doctrinal and absolute thesis. Corrected in this
way, Copernicus’ work is even today free of any condemnation." http://www.alcazar.net/infallible.pdf
Edelleen ilmseisesti kommunistinen ateisti Wikipediassa kirjoittaa:
"In 1820, the Congregation of the Holy Office, with the pope's approval, decreed that Catholic astronomer Joseph Settele was allowed to treat the earth's motion as an established fact."
Täyttä valhetta! Minä vastaan:
"Among the examples he cited were works
by Descartes, Copernicus and Galileo. Without much ado, Benedict XIV
approved Ricchini’s request on February 12, 1754. The important point that
cannot be missed in this simple transaction is that the basis upon which any changes to the Index were approved, or any prohibitions of the heliocentric
system were relaxed, centered consistently upon the stipulation that the proposed book must contain the 'proper corrections,' namely, that the use of the Copernican system not be promoted as a thesis, but as a hypothesis."
Wikipedian ateistinen kirjoittaja ei mainitse hypoteesista mitään.
Valheet vain pahenee Wikipediassa! Hän kirjoittaa:
"In a papal encyclical written in 1921 Pope Benedict XV stated that, 'though this earth on which we live may not be the center of the universe as at one time was thought, it was the scene of the original happiness of our first ancestors, witness of their unhappy fall, as too of the Redemption of mankind through the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ.'"
Paavi puhuu kiertokirjeessään Danten maailmankuvasta eikä kirkon virallisesta kannasta! http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xv/encyclicals/documents/hf_ben-xv_enc_30041921_in-praeclara-summorum_en.html
Että se niistä todisteista! Älä vaivaudu lähettämään tänne mitään Wikipediasta! Kiitos!
Wikipedia on tuohon kirjaseen verrattuna äärimmäisen arvovaltainen lähde.
http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurinkokeskinen_maailmankuva
http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo_Galilei#Se_liikkuu_sittenkin
