“Sources within the top level management of the police in Oslo have confirmed to Aftenposten that the drill finished at 15:00 that same Friday,” the newspaper reports. “All of the officers from the anti-terror unit that later took part at the bombsite at the government buildings and went out to Utøya to apprehend Anders Behring Breivik had been training on the exact same scenario earlier the same day and in the days preceding,” writes Andreas Bakke Foss.
The bomb attributed to Breivik went off only 26 minutes after the anti-terror drill finished, according to officials.

On 1 August 2011, the UK Guardian asks "How should journalists talk to survivors of the attacks in Norway?"
The Guardian journalist travelled to the town of Bardu, which has a military base.
Gunnar Linaker is the army chaplain at the military base at Bardu.
He has spoken to TV. His son reportedly died in the Norway Attacks.
Other people were being kept away from the media.
The Guardian journalist writes:
"After I arrived, a nurse on Bardu's crisis team had gently asked me not to approach Hanne or the three other young women from the town who had survived the atrocities."
Of the seven young people from Bardu who went to Utøya, five survived.
The Guardian did not speak to any of those five.

Norwegian sociologist Johan Galtung has said that he is not ruling out the possibility that the Mossad was involved in the massacre carried out by Anders Behring Breivik last July.
The comments were made by Galtung last September at a lecture entitled “Ten Theses on July 22” at the University of Oslo. July 22 was the date on which Breivik shot panicked youths at point-blank range at the Utoya island, killing 69 people.
He also claimed that Breivik “belonged to the Freemasonry organization which is based on Judaism.”
Galtung, who founded the Peace Research Institute Oslo in 1959, noted that the date on which the massacre took place is the same date when, in 1946, the underground Jewish movement the Irgun planted explosives at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, the headquarters of the British Army at the time. Warnings were given by members of the Irgun to clear the hotel, but were ignored by the British.
Furthermore, in a recent interview with the Norwegian magazine Humanist quoted by the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv on Monday, Galtung claimed that Jews control the world media and tilt public opinion in favor of Israel.
“The Jews control 96 percent of world media,” Galtung claimed during the interview, adding that the directors of Walt Disney, Warner Brothers and Viacom are all Jews, as are directors in the big American television networks.
“Is this accidental? If there is a Jewish boss it means Jewish control,” he claimed.
Referring to the massacre in Norway, Galtung told the newspaper that a European journalist who had surmised that the Mossad was behind the massacre “was vilified.” He then added that there was also a conspiracy to assassinate a former U.S. senator known for his anti-Israel positions.
Galtung claimed that Israel is the only place in the world in which the issue of anti-Semitism is permitted to be dealt with and said that Jews think that only they are allowed to speak out against themselves.
“I remember a famous professor in Israel who said, ‘Anti-Semitism means opposing us more than we deserve,’” Galtung said. “The meaning of his words is that he believes that Jews deserve some of the accusations, but thinks that only Jews can say that.”
Soon after Breivik carried out his horrendous attack, anti-Zionists tried to pin it on Israel and the Mossad.
The Al Jazeera network, for example, published an article by Gilad Atzmon, an Israeli-born British jazz saxophonist and political activist known for his criticisms of Zionism, Jewish identity, and Judaism.
Atzmon harped on the Norwegian Labor party’s support for boycotting Israel and noted, “The Labor Party Youth Movement have been devoted promoters of the Israel Boycott campaign. Many of the children who were gunned down by Breivik earlier had held up anti-Israel signs."

Anders Breivik, the lone man arrested for killing 77 people in two terror attacks in Norway, rang up the police after the deadly massacre and said: “This is Brigadier Breivik – mission accomplished.”
The toll has risen to 77, after a body was found in the water off Utoya island a week after the bomb-and-gun rampage, news agency reported.
Breivik’s mobile phone call to a police station came from the island.
Police said that even after gunning down the helpless victims, Breivik still had plenty of ammunition in his semi-automatic rifle and pistol.
His lawyer has said Breivik planned to hit other targets as well.
“There were several projects of different scale for that Friday,” he said. “Things happened that day, which I don’t want to go into, which meant events unfolded differently from what he had planned.”

Former Secretary General of NATO, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, described it as a "coincidence" that, on 4 March 2004, there was an anti-terrorist exercise (CMX-04) in Madrid, finishing just a few hours before the bombings.
The NATO counterterrorism exercise involved an imagined attack which would kill 200 people.
This number is very close to the number of fatalities that occurred in the actual Madrid Bombings.
5. The 7 July 2005 London Tube Bombings occurred the same day as a government terror exercise.
On the same day of the London bombings Peter Power gave interviews on BBC Radio 5 Live[52] and ITV[53] saying that he was involved in an exercise "based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning".
He also gave an interview to the Manchester Evening News where he spoke of "an exercise involving mock broadcasts when it happened for real".[54]
