The film begins with the arrival of a specialist Army Commando team (led by Alan 'Dutch' Schaeffer) at a US military outpost somewhere non-disclosed in Central America. After a short briefing from the commanding officer there, they learn that they are to rescue a 'Cabinet Minister' whom was in a helicopter that was shot down whilst flying over enemy territory. Accompanied by a CIA operative, they head deep into the jungle; only things are not as they seem. Almost immediately, they find the remnants of another US military team, Green Berets; who have been skinned alive by some unknown enemy. A short while later, they strike the enemy encampment; only to find that they have been set up by the CIA to bring back important military intelligence information, rather than effecting any rescue. But something else is hidden, waiting, watching in the jungle. An immensely advanced and powerful alien that hunts only the most dangerous prey in the universe - the Predator. One after another, the team is picked off as they desperately attempt to escape the jungle by reaching the extraction point as the enemy guerrillas and the Predator close in on their position.. can any of them survive this nightmare????

Predator ja Alien ovat nerokkaimmat elokuvahirviöt. Nekin tehtiin ennen bluescreenejä ja kuvankäsittelyohjelmia.
Sitten oli myös The Thing - se jostain, ja sen "jatkoversio" , joka loppuu siihen ekan koirajahtiin, jolla se taas alkaa.
Uudempi Thing oli ihan hyvä, Kurt Russell saapastelee siinä teurastuspaikoilla ja on ekakin klassikko. Jos ette viitsi muuten katson Predatoreja niin katsokaa ykkösen loppu missä Predator paljastaa ruman naamansa, on tosi hyvin suunniteltu! Alien1:ssä oli Isaac Asimov neuvonantajana ja idea loisivasta ulkoavaruuden hirviöstä on paras mahdollinen.
Siis uskomatonta, löytyi se alkuperäinen The Thing - Se Toisesta Maailmasta vuodelta 1951!

Tätä katsottiin kesämökillä pienenä ja eka kerran pelättiin tosissaan, varsinkin siinä kohdassa kun vartija ei kestä katsella hirviötä jääpalan sisässä ja peittää sen vahingossa LÄMPÖpeitteellä ;-D ! !, se oli aivan kauheeta, kylmät väreet käy vieläkin!
Ei, vaan se uudempi on vuoden 2011 versio; ei siinä ole Kurt Russellista vilaustakaan, se oli se "esiosa" vanhemmasta eli 1982 versiosta by Carpenter..

Ensimmäinen oli 1951, sitten tuli Kurt Russsellin 1982, tätä uusinta 2011 en ole nähnytkään, pitääpä bongata ...
Hehheh, lähempänä komediaa kuin kauhua.
Niin, mutta silloin oltiin 10-vuotiaita eikä oltu vielä nähty kauhuelokuvia, kyllä toi The Thing klassikko oli silloin 70-luvulla kova juttu.
Jäi kyllä mieleen kun 11-vuotiaana katsoin leffan. Nukuin yksin makuuhuoneessani ja näin mitä karmeimpia painajaisia, kun ovesta astui monina öinä sisään otus, jonka pää kolisi kattoon kun se kulki kumarassa ympäri huonetta ja etsi minua suupalakseen. Mikään muu näkemäni ei ole aiheuttanut vastaavia kauhuja yöuniin.
Kuka oli, kuka ei...
Niin jäi mieleen ;-DDD The Thing avasi ensimmäistä kertaa kauhuelokuvat!

Tai sitten vain ostatte kyseisen leffan parilla eurolla esim. huutonetistä...
Predatorissa oli siinä pyssyporukassa mukana Jesse Ventura, tuo salaliittomies, joka NARRASI väitteellään ,että olisi muka ollut NAVY SEAL!!
Niin muuten on, tuossa kakkosessa...
