Ehkäpä nämäkin ennustukset/jakeet saavat pian uutta valoa koska niitä ei olla ymmärretty ihan oikein, vaan ymmärrys lisääntyy pikku hiljaa ja valo kirkastuu kirkastumistaan. Lopun aika on kun kaikki nämä nykyiset vaikeat pahat tapahtumat sattuvat näin suuressa mittakaavassa yhden sukupolven aikana (meidän) johon kuuluu kaikki raamatussa ennnustetut nykyiset hirveät asiat joita juuri NYT tapahtuu. Sitä en kiistä etteikö näin olisi, mutta loppua ei tiedä kukaan, silti annetaan ymmärtää, että se tapahtuisi juuri meidän aikanamme näiden ilmenneiden vaikeiden ja vaarallisten aikojen tähden, mutta näin sanoivat myös nykyiset vanhat ja kuolevat/kuolleet sisaret ja veljet omana aikanaan. Maailma ei ole sen paremmaksi kylläkään muuttunut pikemminki pahemmaksi ja ratkaisua ei tunnu löytyvän. Joten olisi järkevää/suotavaa odottaa jonki suuremman puuttuvan asioihin, koska ihmiset eivät näytä siihen kykenevän. Itse odotan yhtenä asiana sitä, että kun nämä voidellut vanhat jotka ovat yli 80-90v ovat kaikki kuolleet, jos ei sittenkään tapahdu mitään, nii myönnän, että olen ymmärtänyt väärin, ehkäpä tämäkin asia muutuu uudeksi valoksi tms. Toinen tuleva ennustus on juuri nämä suuren babylonin ja kauppamaailman tuho joista ei vielä ole kyllä mitään merkkiäkään ja vaikea uskoa, että niin suuret muutokset kerkeisivät mitenkään meidän aikana tapahtua hetkessä, vaikkakaan mikäänhän ei ole mahdotontakaan.
Juuri saamani tiedon mukaan tämä 1914 sukupolvi oppi onki muuttunut, eli ne 80-90 vuotiaat jotka elivät/syntyivät 1914 ei tarkoitakkaan sitä, että juuri heidän sukupolvensa näkisi lopun vaan tuo ajanjakso onki venyvä käsite.. eli Jeesus alkoi hallita 1914 ja siitä alkoi lopun ajat joihin kuuluu kaikki nykyiset tapahtumat jotka johtavat lopulta pian harmagedoniin, mutta sitä päivää ei tiedä milloin, me olemme silti viimeisissä päivissä.

Nopeammin sinä olet saanut tiedon tuosta oppimuutoksesta kuin Vartiotorniseuran nettisivujen ylläpitäjä. Oppimuutos tuli noin 9 vuotta sitten.

Sinulla on aukkoja tiedoissa, asia ei ole noin yksinkertainen. Tuo oppimuutos oli puhtaasti pakon sanelema, tässä lyhyt yhteenveto Vartiotorniseuran pisimmän ennustusjakson muutoshistoriasta.
Jeesuksen ajan kuulijakunta oletti sukupolven iäksi 30-40 vuotta. Jerusalemin temppelin hävitys vuonna 70 tapahtui tuon aikahaarukan sisällä. Tuosta sukupolven pituudesta lähti liikkeelle Vartiotorniseuran pisin yksittäinen ja samaan ennustukseen perustuva harmagedonennustelu:
"The thirty-six intervening years since 1914, instead of postponing Armageddon, have only made it nearer than most people think. Do not forget: "This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matt. 24:34) Consequently, the important question is: What is the most profitable way in which to use the remaining time? If you are wise you will not dodge or side-step the answer.-Eccl. 8:5." (w50 1 Nov. p. 419)
"The length of time is indicated by him when he said, "Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur." (Matt. 24:34, NW) The actual meaning of these words is, beyond question, that which takes a "generation" in the ordinary sense, as at Mark 8:12 and Acts 13:36, or for those who are living at the given period." Tuo aikahaarukka ei ollut riittävä tarkka vihje, joten Vartiotorniseura tarkensi ajastusta. Se tapahtui vertaamalla vuoden tarkkuudella ajanjaksoa aikaan, jolloin Jeesus puhui ennen Jerusalemin tuhoa:
"By keeping the people ignorant they led them into having Jesus killed on a torture stake at Calvary. Thirty-seven years later this willfully cultivated ignorance led to its fatal consequences, the destruction of the city of Jerusalem with an enormous loss of human lives, just as Jesus had predicted, and the breaking up of the Jewish nation till this day. And now in this "time of the end" the revived nation of Israel with capital at the modern city of Jerusalem chooses to go on in the steps of its forefathers . . ." "Counting from the end of the "appointed times of the nations" in 1914, we are 37 years into the "time of the end" of this world. (Luke 21:24, NW; Dan. 12:4) During these crucial years Jehovah's witnesses have sought shelter and strength in him, and they can confess for themselves that he is a "well-proved help in trouble". If it were not for this, they would not be here today nor increasing in numbers. But we are entering the most serious and trialsome years of this "time of the end". Tässä jätettiin jehovantodistajan laskettavaksi 1914 37=1951. Ja laskutaitoisia löytyi, mutta mitään odotettua ei tapahtunut. Mutta teoreettinen sukupolven yläraja oli tulossa vastaan 1954. Vartiotorniseura määritti sukupolven pituuden uudelleen, käyttöön otettiin keskimääräinen ihmisikä.
"Webster's unabridged dictionary gives, in part, this definition of generation: "The average lifetime of man, or the ordinary period of time at which one rank follows another, or father is succeeded by child; an age. A generation is usually taken to be about 33 years." But the Bible is not so specific. It gives no number of years for a generation. And in Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30 and Luke 21:32, the texts mentioning the generation the question refers to, we are not to take generation as meaning the average time for one generation to be succeeded by the next, as Webster's does in its 33-year approximation; but rather more like Webster's first-quoted definition, "the average lifetime of man." Three or even four generations may be living at the same time, their lives overlapping. (Ps. 78:4; 145:4) Before the Noachian flood the life span was hundreds of years. Down through the centuries since, it has varied, and even now is different in different countries. The Bible does speak of a man's days as being threescore and ten or fourscore years; but it assigns no specific number of years to a generation. - Ps. 90:10. Even if it did, we could not calculate from such a figure the date of Armageddon, for the texts here under discussion do not say God's battle comes right at the end of this generation, but before its end." "To try to say how many years before its end would be speculative. The texts merely set a limit that is sufficiently definite for all present practical purposes. Some persons living A.D. 1914 when the series of foretold events began will also be living when the series ends with Armageddon. All the events will come within the span of a generation. There are hundreds of millions of persons living now that were living in 1914, and many millions of these persons could yet live a score or more years. Just when the lives of the majority of them will be cut short by Armageddon we cannot say." (ibid; bold added)
Näin takaraja siirrettiin välille 1984-1994, mutta muistettiin muistuttaa, että Harmagedon tulee aikaisemmin kuin ajan takaraja. Näin saatiin julistajat pysymään edelleen varpaillaan. Tosin vanhemmat julistajat muistelivat vielä edellistä 40 vuoden pituista sukupolvea, joten lohdutuksen sana myös vuoden 1954 Harmagedonia odotteleville:
"18 There is no time to lose. This is a most urgent message. Time is fast running out for Satan and his system of things, for they refuse to recognize that the "Gentile times" ended in 1914 and Christ Jesus was then enthroned as earth's rightful Ruler. We are now forty years within "this generation," the generation that witnessed the eventful year 1914, the generation doomed to experience Armageddon. (Matt. 23:36; 24:34) Make no mistake about it, that final war is a fixed date on the divine calendar, just as sure to occur on time as all the other purposes of Jehovah have. "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." "For to every purpose there is a time and judgment." (Eccl. 3:1, 17; 8:6, AS) Really, it is much later than most people think!" (w54 Aug. 1 p. 478)
Sukupolven edustajien ikä vuonna 1914:
"Jesus was obviously speaking about those who were old enough to witness with understanding what took place when the 'last days' began. . . . Even if we presume that youngsters 15 years of age would be perceptive enough to realize the import of what happened in 1914, it would still make the youngest of 'this generation' nearly 70 years old today." Vielä vuoden 1975 epäonnistuneen ennustuksenkin jälkeen tuolta sukupolvelta edellytettiin "loogisesti" 1914 tapahtumien käsittämistä:
"Thus, when it comes to the application in our time, the "generation" logically would not apply to babies born during World War I. It applies to Christ's followers and others who were able to observe that war and the other things that have occurred in fulfillment of Jesus' composite "sign."" (w78 Oct. 1 p. 31; bold added)
Aika kului ja haarukan vuosi 1984 lähestyi ja ennustukselle ostettiin 5 vuotta lisäaikaa:
"As indicated by an article on page 56 of U.S. News & World Report of January 14, 1980, "If you assume that 10 is the age at which an event creates a lasting impression on a person's memory," then there are today more than 13 million Americans who have a "recollection of World War I."" (w80 Oct. 15 p. 31; bold added)
Vieläkään mitään ei tapahtunut, joten 1914-sukupolvikäsitystä oli muutettava jo radikaalimmalla tavalla. Oli hylättävä vuoden 1978 "loogisuus":
"If Jesus used "generation" in that sense and we apply it to 1914, then the babies of that generation are now 70 years old or older. And others alive in 1914 are in their 80's or 90's, a few even having reached a hundred. There are still many millions of that generation alive." (w84 May 15 p. 5; bold added)
Nyt käytettiin termiä 1914 sukupolvi ja sillä tarkoitettiin henkilöitä, jotka olivat syntyneet vuonna 1914 tai aikaisemmin:
"Likewise today, most of the generation of 1914 has passed away. However, there are still millions on earth who were born in that year or prior to it." (g88 Apr. 8 p. 14; bold added)
Nyt oli kaikki joustovara käytetty henkilöiden syntymäajoista, jolloin Harmagedonia odotettiin seuraavaksi vuodelle 1989:
"J. A. Bengel states in his New Testament Word Studies: "The Hebrews . . . reckon seventy-five years as one generation, and the words, shall not pass away, intimate that the greater part of that generation [of Jesus' day] indeed, but not the whole of it, should have passed away before all should be fulfilled."" Tämän jälkeen oli sitten vastassa ihmisiän yläraja 80 vuotta, josko viimeistään 1994 toisi Harmagedonin? Takarajahan oli lyöty lukkoon vuonna 1968:
"It is not reasonable to expect that present favorable conditions for preaching the good news will continue indefinitely. Besides, did not Jesus say that this generation will not pass away until all things are fulfilled? A generation, according to Psalm 90:10, is from seventy to eighty years. The generation that witnessed the end of the Gentile Times in 1914 does not have many more years left." (w68 Dec. 1 p. 715; bold added)
Vielä 1984 oli Vartiotiotorniseura uhmakkaan voitonvarma:
"From a purely human viewpoint, it could appear that these developments could hardly take place before the generation of 1914 disappears from the scene. But fulfillment of all the foretold events affecting the generation of 1914 does not depend on comparatively slow human action. Jehovah's prophetic word through Christ Jesus is: "This generation [of 1914] will by no means pass away until all things occur." (Luke 21:32) And Jehovah, who is the source of inspired and unfailing prophecy, will bring about the fulfillment of his Son's words in a relatively short time." (w84 May 15 p. 6; bold added - brackets theirs)
Se kun tässä vaiheessa haluaa puolustaa Vartiotorniseuraa on hyvä ja lukee tuon lainauksen uudelleen ja hyvin tarkkaan. Tuossa lainauksessa viitataan henkeytettyyn ja erehtymättömään profetiaan, myös vuosi 1914 on sijoitettu hakasulkuihin Raamatun tekstiin. Juuri tiukemmin seura ei itseään voisi naulata vuoteen 1994.
Jo vuonna 1991 silloinen Vartiotorniseuran presidentti ja vuoden 1975 Harmagedonin pääarkkitehti, Fred Franz sanoi: "But we are as strong for it as we ever were, and we are appreciating it all the more the longer we have to wait for it. It is something worth waiting for, even if it required a million years." (w91 Dec. 15 p. 11; bold added)
Vuosi 1994 tuli ja meni. Vartiotorniseura jätti jälkeensä jälleen yhden "Miljoonat nykyään elävät eivät kuole koskaan"-mallisen monumentin. Tämä monumentti on Vartiotorniseuran pitkäikäisin harmagedonennustelu. Sitä saarnattiin noin puoli vuosisataa. Vuosi 1975 häviää ajallisessa kestossa, vaikka sen lähtölaukaus voidaan ajoittaa vuonna 1943 julkaistuun kirjaan.
Oli tullut johtopäätösten aika. 1995 marraskuun 1. päivän Vartiotorni myönsi aikaisemman laskelmoinnin, mutta tuttuun tapaan ei myöntänyt, että Vartiotorniseuralla olisi asian kanssa tekemistä. Kuten niin usein aiemminkin, syy vieritettiin näiden jo kuuluisuutta saavuttaneiden "joidenkin" ja "eräiden" hartioille: "Eager to see the end of this evil system, Jehovah's people have at times speculated about the time when the "great tribulation" would break out, even tying this to calculations of what is the lifetime of a generation since 1914. However, we bring a heart of wisdom in," not by speculating about how many years or days makeup a generation, but by thinking about how we "count our days" in bringing joyful praise to Jehovah." (w95 Nov. 1 p. 18; bold added;)
Tämä rivijäsenten syyttäminen on koeteltu ja toimivaksi havaittu keino. Järkeä ja logiikkaa ei tuo keino kaipaa missään vaiheessa tuekseen ja niinpä Vartiotorni jatkaa:
"Does our more precise viewpoint on "this generation" mean that Armageddon is further away than we had thought? Not at all! Though we at no time have known the "day and hour," Jehovah God has always known it, and he does not change." (ibid, p. 20)
Kukaan asioita seurannut ja ajatteleva henkilö ei voi olla ihmettelemättä kuinka helposti jehovantodistajat ovat johdateltavissa. Mikä siis on tuon sukupolven pituus vuosissa?
"Therefore, in the final fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy today, "this generation" apparently refers to the peoples of earth who see the sign of Christ's presence but fail to mend their ways." (ibid, p. 19; bold added)
Vielä varmistukseksi esitettiin pari vuotta myöhemmin, että itse asiassa uskollisen ja ymmärtäväisen orjan vaatimattomuus estää sitä tekemästä liian rohkeita ja pitkälle meneviä johtopäätöksiä tulevaisuuden suhteen:
”Modesty on the part of the faithful and discreet slave class, commissioned to provide the Christian household with food at the proper time, prevents it from presumptuously running ahead and wildly speculating about things that are still unclear.” (w97 June 1 p. 14)

Tämä on taivahan tosi. Se, että loppu näyttää näennäisesti viipyvän, kertoo mm. Jumalan armollisuudesta ihmiskuntaa kohtaan. Hänen tärkein ominaisuutensa on rakkaus, ja siihen luonnollisesti sisältyy se, ettei Hän tahdo kenenkään ihmisen tuhoutuvan.
"Itse odotan yhtenä asiana sitä, että kun nämä voidellut vanhat jotka ovat yli 80-90v ovat kaikki kuolleet, jos ei sittenkään tapahdu mitään, nii myönnän, että olen ymmärtänyt väärin"
Omallani, ei-henkeytetyllä Raamatuntulkinnallani voi myös päätellä, että loppu tulee ennen kuin nämä voidellut, pieneen joukkoon kuuluvat ovat kuolleet. (Hab. 3:13)
Vaikka tuo sukupolvi-oppi vuoteen 1914 liittyen ei enää olekaan voimassa, niin henk.kohtaisesti kuitenkin uskon lopun koittavan aikana, jolloin ennen kyseistä vuotta syntyneitä on vielä elossa. Tosin se on vain oma mielipiteeni, joten siitä ei kannata vetää minkäänlaisia johtopäätöksiä.
"Toinen tuleva ennustus on juuri nämä suuren babylonin ja kauppamaailman tuho joista ei vielä ole kyllä mitään merkkiäkään ja vaikea uskoa, että niin suuret muutokset kerkeisivät mitenkään meidän aikana tapahtua hetkessä, vaikkakaan mikäänhän ei ole mahdotontakaan."
Raamatussa osoitetaan, että monet lopun aikaan liittyvät tapahtumat tulevat toteutumaan äkillisesti, mm. juuri tuo väärän uskonnon totaalinen tuhoutuminen.
En ryhdy kilpailemaan jo tehdyn työn kanssa näin laajalti. Ehdotankin, että autat minua hankkimaan tuolla erillisessä viestissä mainitun koneen kopion. Sen jälkeen viittaukset on helppo löytää suomenkielisestä materiaalista.
Olen kyllä huomannut tutkittuani vanhojakin kirjoja ja lehtiä, että ennustuksia on enteilty tiettyihin vuosiin, vakkeikaan aivan suoranaisesti ole sanottu vuosia, mutta vihjailua ja ne ovat sitten osoittautuneetkin rivitodistajien innokkuudeksi. No näkeehän Jumala sydämiin ja tietää todellisen syyn. Se on vaan merkki, että nämä vartiotorniseuran jäsenetkin odottavat lähes malttamattomina harmaa ja ilmeisesti täten uskovat siihen. Enäänhän ei puhuta tällaisella innolla mistään vuosista vaan käytetään sanaa *pian* ja *lopunajoissa*. Koska ennustusten piirteet ovat jotku jo toteutuneet ja jotku vielä odotuttavat nii emme voi muuta kuin odottaa näitä tapahtumia alkavaksi. Jos mitään ei tapahdu nii uskoakseni muutoksia on tehtävä kovasti koska raamatun ennustukset on tulkittu väärin.

Jos kaikki sellaiset vihjeet, joissa on käytetty esimerkiksi termiä "jäljellä olevat kuukaudet", tai 1900-luvun alussa lausutut "muutamat jäljellä olevat vuodet" ja vastaavat otettaisiin lukuun, niin taitaisi mennä 20 helposti rikki. Yksistään 1914-sukupolven perusteella odotettiin Harmaa tulevaksi ennen vuosia 1954, 1984, 1989 ja 1994.
Lopun ajasta puhuttaessa ei tuoda esille, että kyseessä on uudempi lopun aika. Vartiotorniseuran vanhempi lopun aika päättyi vuonna 1914. Nykyisen, uudemman lopun ajan laskeminen aloitettiin 1920-luvulla ja alkukohta kiinnitettiin jälkikäteen siihen, mihin aikaisemmin jäätiin, eli vuoteen 1914.
