Kannattaa opettaa maahanmuuttajille ensimmäisenä

kielenä ruotsi. Miettiikö RKP ikinä mitä ruotsin tyrkyttäminen näille ihmisille oikeasti tarkoittaa?

"The intention of this is to give my fellow ethnic friends hope and motivation to develop.

I am from Iran. Came to Finland through UN in Turkey in 2000 when I was 11. We were Bahais, a religion that is prosecuted in Iran, no rights to work nor study.

We landed in Vaasa and were sent to live in a small Swedish speaking village named Petolahti. We were warmly welcomed by nice and generous inhabitants. We learned Swedish, which we thought, in the beginning, was the official language in Finland, it is partially true though. After one year we moved to Vaasa, since the village was too small for us. Vaasa was mostly a Finnish speaking city.

In Vaasa we lived in a very bad neighborhood called Olympia, filled with foreigners, students, troublesome Finnish families, junkies and drug dealers. In Olympia I faced almost daily verbal racial abuse, constant spitting on our door and breaking of our belongings outside of our house. Once they sabotaged our car so we almost crashed in the high way ( had loosened the tires) We lived beside a Finnish family with new Nazi affiliations. We didn't ever contact the police, like every foreigner who lived in a corrupted regime, we did not trust the police, like a natural instinct.

My Swedish primary school was beside a Finnish primary school, and these guys would bully us daily because we were Swedish speaking. I was being picked on for being foreign and for speaking Swedish, I had really won the shit luck lottery.

I could not speak nor understand a word of Finnish, I was very frustrated. My hate and fear against Finnish people had grown so much, I couldn't trust anyone. I had developed a phobia and was afraid of going out, because of this I was constantly struggling with depression.

I could never have a summer job because I didn't know Finnish. Because of this I used to work in a pizza restaurant for 2 euros/hour for 12 hours a day on summers since I was 17. I felt like a nobody, confidence down in the ground.

I skipped secondary school regularly and didn't have any friends in school, I hated everybody because of their prejudice, but most of the times I hated them because of my experiences.

It was the end of the secondary school and I had to decide what I want to do after. One of my sisters Saba Mehrabkhani, who was already in High school had a conversation with my about my future and motivated me to study. She was brilliant in school.

I started to study hard, I wanted to become a doctor, my childhood dream.
I managed to get into lukio (high school), called Vasa Gymnasium. I studied very hard and was very determined, I wanted to leave the hatred and mistrust behind me, but it was hard. In lukio, although I had very good grades, the principle told me I should think realistically, insinuating that I wouldn't be able to become a doctor. I decided I would prove this lady wrong.

I graduated lukio with top grades with 2 Laudaturs, one in advanced math and one in chemistry. To be honest with you, I was also surprised, but then I realized what the human brain is capable of. I wasn't super smart, but I was determined to learn.

I applied to the faculty of medicine in Helsinki in 2009, thankfully they have a Swedish line. I had also started to study Finnish intensely after lukio. After the second try I got in 2010. It was like entering heaven. But when the school started I realized how impossible it would be to continue with my limited knowledge in Finnish. I just wouldn't give up, never.

Now i am in the 6th year in med school and I will graduate next year to become a doctor. I also speak now fluently Finnish and has worked as a doctor in summers.

I have started to let the hatred and fear go, it is easier every day. I have never been happier in my life and will continue to develop, this is just the beginning. It may sound like a cliche, but if you put your mind into it, you really can achieve what ever you want.

Good luck to all my fellow ethnic friends, go out there and prove them wrong!

Love you all."

Pakolaiset kannattaa kotouttaa ruotsiksi. Kynnys muuttaa Ruotsiin madaltuu.
