People can have different opinions on this issue but here are the numbers which are not tainted by anyone's opinion. They are fact. Sweden who did not lock down (schools and shops stayed open) had 45,924 Covid cases with a population of 10,095,746. That was 0.45% of the population who caught the virus. Ontario had 0.22% of citizens caught the virus. That's only 0.2% difference between unlocked Sweden and locked down Ontario. Clearly not a significant number and certainly not a reason to lock down and destroy our economy, and have personal and business bankruptcies taking years to recover. Sweden had no major economic, business, or personal hardships. We've seen the WHO and our leadership change their minds twice a day on what to do or not do while Sweden just carried on and treated it like any other flu season and percentage-wise was hardly a measurable difference.
