sikäli kuin eväät romahtamiselle olivat olemassa, kakkostornin hatun olisi pitänyt kaatua enemmän osumakohdan puolelle, romahtaa siltä puolelta kasaan, ja romu olisi tepinyt sen puoleista kylkeä jonkin verran auki. Tuloksena olisi ollut varsin ruman näköinen ja aika korkea tornin torso.

Kun myös länsipuoli oli pettänyt, alkoi yläosa tietysti tulla suoraan alas (kiihtyvyyden suunta). Se toki edelleen jatkoi rotaatiota. Mikäpä sen olisi siinä vaiheessa pysäyttänyt?

Totta, mutta nopeuden suunta ei ollut suoraan alaspäin. Kun yläosa alkoi kallistua, se sai myös nopeuden sivuttaiskomponentin. Kyllähän sortuminen eteni itäpuolella hieman toista puolta nopeammin. Ei ole kuitenkaan mikään huono oletus, että vastusvoimat kasvoivat ainakin joiltain osin nopeuden kasvaessa. Tällöin länsipuoli "ottaisi itäpuolen nopeuden jossain vaiheessa kiinni".

Eihän se rotaatio missään vaiheessa loppunut, vaan jatkui siihen asti, kunnes yläosa törmäsi alempiin, vielä ehjiin osiin ja hajosi kappaleiksi.
En täysin ymmärrä, kuinka tämän kirjoittajan mielestä sortuman olisi pitänyt edetä..
