Mamma had the Anti-D injection at St Thomas hospital today. She had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes in the reception room before finally seeing the midwife. That gave her plenty of time to read "Pregnancy & baby" magazines and have a wander around the hospital and stock up on the Combur7 urine tests which can be used to check for proteins, glucose etc in the urine at home.
Everything is looking good including the Hemoglobin levels. The injection wasn't painful at all - just a little sting - and then it was all over. Mamma is generally feeling very well and can't really complain. It's getting more and more difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in though and walking or other form of exercise makes the bump really hard and contracted. She better be careful and not over-doo herself or little Snowball.
